    Learnership Programme - Unitary Installer (NQF L2)

    ROLE PURPOSE

    • This learnership is designed to develop competent entry‑level professionals by providing structured theoretical instruction, practical skills development, and supervised workplace experience. The programme equips learners with the essential knowledge and capabilities required to pursue employment within Facilities Management, HVAC, and related technical service environments. It is a 12‑month Professional Learnership Programme aligned to the QCTO Occupational Qualification 103269.

    Artisan Electrical

    ROLE PURPOSE

    • To carry out timeous and quality planned, preventative and emergency maintenance on all specified equipment to give effect to the business maintenance strategy and Client service standards

    MAIN OUTPUTS

    • Report for on-site maintenance work and obtain off-site check out on job cards, as per Client and Company requirements
    • Deliver planned and reactive maintenance service covering full hard FM spectrum on electrical installations and minor building works

    Handyman (HVAC)

    ROLE PURPOSE

    • To carry out timeous and quality planned, preventive and emergency maintenance on all specified equipment, to give to the business maintenance strategy and client service standards as handyman for either Electrical/Mechanical.

    MAIN OUTPUTS

    • Fulfill requirements of the job cards as per client and company requirements, ensure all equipment is serviced in accordance with schedule, preventive or emergency fault rectification complies with legislation, SLA and job plans as Handyman.
    • Effecting investigations, evaluation and restorations of problems identified inclusive of hazards as per new SLA (Phase 2,3, and 4).
    • Provide constant feedback to the Facilities Manager/Service Manager/Building Manager /Commercial Coordinator on restoration status of operations
    • Offer timeous completion of field request; report all irregular occurrences to the maintenance control center and/or SM/FM/RC.
    • Assist the Artisan with major repairs and services
    • Undertake other related duties and assignments as assigned from time to time

    Generator Deployer & Refueller (Longmeadow)

    ROLE PURPOSE

    • The Generator deployer technicians will involve the towing. deploying, refueling, and recovering of mobile units. Actual and potential generator nonconformities are dealt with and that corrective and preventative actions are taken to report to the upper management

    Generator Service Technician (Longmeadow)

    ROLE PURPOSE

    • Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities. Mechanical/electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products. Identify safety risks, including completion of any required safety training and the SHE processes and effective utilization of diagnostic tools.

    MAIN OUTPUTS

    • Completing preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on generators or components at the customer site with minimal direction.
    • Applying the use of specialized tools and following documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
    • Escalating unresolved issues to more experienced Technicians and/or Supervisor
    • Performing preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field.
    • Completing required documentation, such as service worksheets, prove of work pictures, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens
    • Completing training in line with skill and business requirements.
    • You will be expected to adhere to all our relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor
    • Ability to understand the relationships between GenSet components and inform more senior Field Service Technician as to which GenSet component may be causing the performance issue

    QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

    The Applicant must meet the following requirements:

    • Matric/Grade 12
    • N4/N5 or Diesel Mechanic
    • Wireman’s license will be an advantage (IE)
    • Valid SA Drivers’ License
    • 3-5 years of Generator maintenance experience with a clear understanding of all components relevant to Generator systems. (including controllers)

    TECHNICAL / CORE COMPETENCIES AND FURURE TRAINING OPERTUNITIES

    • Excellent knowledge of Field Operations routine procedures and processes.
    • Knowledge of various power components and systems is an advantage (rectifiers, generators, batteries etc.)
