    Senior Professional Officer - Professional Valuer

    Requirements

    • A relevant Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Property Studies/Real Estate
    • At least eight years property valuation experience while registered with the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession
    • Computer literacy
    • A valid Code EB driver’s license
    • Registered with the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession as a Professional Valuer or Professional Associated Valuer
    • A relevant management degree will be an advantage

    Key Performance Areas

    • Ensures uniform application of valuation methodology and that valuations are executed in terms of legal requirements.
    • Coordinates the professional execution of valuations, which includes checking valuations performed by peers and subordinates for accuracy and consistency.
    • Supervises and controls technical staff in order that the Section operates efficiently and effectively.
    • Liaises with customers and resolves disputes.
    • Represents the City at Valuation Appeal Board hearings.
    • Supervises and coordinates the collection and analysis of valuation data ensuring data integrity.

    Requirements

    • A relevant National Diploma in Horticulture
    • 3 to 5 year’s relevant experience relating to Horticulture environment Computer Literacy (MS Office & SAP)

    Range Officer

    Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Assessor and Moderator Certificate
    • Qualified Professional Firearms Training Council (PFTC) Instructor and Registered
    • Registered Assessor and Moderator on the PFTC database.
    • Minimum of three (3) years' experience as a Firearm Instructor
    • Must be physically fit and able-bodied.
    • Must be able to work under adverse condition

    Key Performance Areas

    • To facilitate training in accordance with applicable legislation and range rules by; facilitating the approved firearm-training program in order to ensure the competence of members within Safety and Security Directorate as it pertains to firearms.
    • Ensure the safety of all at the shooting range in order to ensure that there are zero incidents or accidents in this potentially risky environment.
    • Responsible for maintenance and cleaning of the firearms as well as the maintenance of the shooting range to ensure a conducive as well as safe environment at the shooting range.
    • Perform range specific duties to ensure compliance with legislation, range rules as well as SOP’s set by the NRCS PFTC and SASSETA, and that all training activities are properly recorded.
    • Managing training and skills development and the transfer of skills and knowledge in order to effect pro-active skills and knowledge  transfer to build capacity and create a robust viable talent pool for acting arrangements

    Requirements

    • A relevant tertiary qualification preferably a B degree or National Diploma
    • 8 years’ relevant experience with 3 years supervisory experience
    • Proficient Computer Literacy: MS Office
    • Incumbent must be prepared to work outside of normal working hours and at various geographic locations throughout the City
    • Drivers licence with reliable own vehicle.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Manages, co-ordinates and administers the Community, Arts & Culture Development functions, operations and services within a sub-area

    Senior Professional Officer-Senior Business Analyst

    Requirements

    • Relevant three-year tertiary qualification with higher tertiary qualifications (e.g. B degree) will be given preference
    • Minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years’ and/or supervisory/management experience within an IT environment will be advantageous.

    • Apply a body of professional knowledge coupled with experience to develop and implement a full range of Business Improvement and business process reengineering recommendations within a department

    Principal Professional Officer

    Requirements

    • A relevant three-year tertiary ICT qualification or a related field
    • SAP basis certification required
    • SAP HANA certification will be an advantage
    • More than eight (8) years’ experience in SAP project implementation and SAP upgrades of both ABAP and JAVA components with at least three (3) years supervisory experience
    • More than eight (8) years’ support experience with at least five (5 integrated SAP products of which SAP ECC6, SAP Portal and SAP Business Intelligence is a must

    • Manage and mentor junior staff and ensure optimal utilisation of all resources, both human and infrastructure.
