Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12
• N3 in Motor or Diesel Mechanic
• Trade Test in Motor or Diesel Mechanic
• Valid EC1 Driver's licence with PrDP (applicable to heavy commercial vehicles)
• 2 years working experience

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled work in the diagnostic, overhaul, adjustment, repair and maintenance of council vehicles, components and vehicle related equipment.
• Executes all repair and maintenance activities in compliance of relevant acts, legislation, council policies, manufacturer and safety standards.
• Adhere to specified standards, policies and SOPs.
• Deliver on service level agreements that are aligned with the Batho Pele principles
• Provide authoritative, specialist expertise and advice to internal and external customers
• Continuously assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback on contracted outputs and request training where appropriate
• Maintain professional interaction and always ensure ethical dealings with stakeholders
• Drive own performance and provide specialist support and advice in accordance with required response time, quality and service delivery standards

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 or relevant equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
• Tradesman Certificate - Electrician
• 1 - 3 years' experience as an Electrician
• Computer literacy
• A valid driver's license (Code B)

Core Responsibilities:

• Control maintenance and construction work to ensure effective maintenance procedures in adherence and compliance with statutory requirements to stop assets from deteriorating and ensure compliance to Council policies and procedures
• Occupational health and safety to ensure safe working conditions
• Perform inspections SABS 0142 wiring code, refrigeration inspections to ensure safety to all occupants
• Comply and enforce the compliance with all safety regulations as a requirement of the OHS Act to ensure the safety of all occupants of the CoE building
• Perform admin and general duties to promote productivity to ensure compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

• National Diploma in Project Management / Administration or relevant equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification
• 3 - 5 years' experience in a project administration environment

Core Responsibilities:

• Plan, initiate and maintain administration of programmes and projects and provide support to management and their teams
• Manage an effective operational process to ensure effective and efficient execution of assigned tasks and thereby contribute towards the achievement of performance goals by the division

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology or Atmospheric or Mathematics or Chemistry
• 3 - 5 years' experience in a meteorologist conducting air quality research and forecasting and running meteorological models to test, review and evaluate the effectiveness of air quality control strategies
• Registration with the relevant Professional body.

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage the development, implementation, monitoring and review of mathematical simulation of how air pollutants disperse in the ambient atmosphere in EMM.
• Foster integration of air quality management through EMM.
• ensure compliance with all applicable council regulations and management of risks as pertaining to air quality management through EMM
• Ensure compliance with all applicable MFMA and other applicable legislation and regulation in EMM.
