    Technical Team Lead

    Job Description

    • Applications are invited for the Technical Team Lead position in Head Office based in Rosebank.
    • The objective of this role would include leading, training, monitoring, and mentoring the development team to ensure successful completion of all development projects.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring application development projects are developed and implemented successfully according to applicable standards and within the architectural framework. The candidate should be able to give input into the design, maintenance, and development of the architecture.
    • The minimum requirements of the position are Matric with either a recognised diploma or B degree in IT or relevant proven experience with full stack development. Agile, web design and development and multi-tier application experience is an important requirement. Domain driven design is preferable.
    • The position requires a minimum of 10 years programming experience, 3 of which must be at a senior level and 1 year or more years’ mentoring or training experience within an IT environment. Furthermore, 5 years’ experience with C#, .net and 3 years’ Angular, Oracle database, Azure and Devops is non negotiable.
    • The candidate should have experience with setting up and managing standards for unit testing according to the company’ strategic needs. Knowledge of financial services processes specifically in insurance or Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases (COID) is an advantage.

    Claims Manager - JHB

    FEM is looking to appoint a Claims Manager the oversee and manage a team that processes claims received in accordance with the (Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act) COID Act and FEM’s standard operating procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, organising, and controlling of the claims department. The incumbent will implement and develop strategies and goals and assess overall performance of human resources to ensure compliance and efficient delivery on objectives relating to management reporting, audits and the risk profiles.

    Job Description

    • The incumbent will provide service excellence by ensuring claims turnaround times are met. Similarly, to interpret and apply all benefits as prescribed by the COID Act and ensure that the department complies with the statutory requirements and all other relevant legislation.
    • The minimum requirements of the position are a B degree in Nursing or equivalent and a management related qualification. The position requires a minimum of 5 years prior work experience in a clinical or multi-disciplinary life and disability claims environment and at least 3 years’ experience in a management capacity.   Further requirements are knowledge of the COID Act, a good understanding of the risk management processes, own transport with a valid driver’s license and good computer skills, the ability to work within strict deadlines, reliability and excellent communication.

    FEM is looking to appoint a Developer at our Head Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and modification of internal systems and other components according to software development specifications including analysing, designing, programming, testing, debugging, implementation and technical troubleshooting.

    The successful candidate must demonstrate experience in web design and development; the ability to work on multi-tier applications and knowledge project management skills specifically Agile, Scrum and Devops as well as the ability to gather requirements and work with clients and end users.
