    Supervisor Fraud Investigation

    The Supervisor : Investigator will fulfil the role of investigating all internal and external policy/procedural breaches and unlawful matters relating to South Deep Mine

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12 or qualification 
    • Have a Grade “A” certificate in security, registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA)
    • Fraud investigations certificate or diploma
    • 5-10 years’ experience as a fraud investigator in a specialised investigation unit, of which 5 years should have preferably been in the mining and/or corporate environment
    • Working knowledge of South African Police Services as well as the judicial process
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment

    Trackless Millwright

    The Trackless Millwright will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks on the trackless fleet. The role requires safe execution of tasks involving both electrical and mechanical fault finding, as well as maintenance repairs, refurbishments, and installations.     Minimum Requirements:

    • Millwright or Electro-Mechanician Trade Certificate

    Trackless Boilermaker

    • The Boilermaker is responsible to perform maintenance, repairs, strip and assemble of Trackless Machines, construction, and fabrication of all steel structural work on underground, in accordance with operating and safety standards and procedures to ensure the availability of engineering equipment. The core accountability of the role is to maintain the highest possible standards in the area of operation and influence.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Recognised Trade Test
    • Have 2 years’ experience as a Boilermaker in maintenance, construction and rebuild of trackless machinery
    • Proven experience in repair, rebuild, machine fabrication of parts and construction work underground
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment

    Supervisor Health And Safety UG

    • The Supervisor Health & Safety is accountable for partnering with operational leadership and their teams to assess the application, completeness and quality of operational health and safety management systems, processes, policies, procedures and standards.  The incumbent is responsible to collaboratively develop plans and interventions with operational teams to ensure compliance with prescribed regulations, operational standards and campaigns to ensure optimal and sustainable application of the safety management system

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Degree/National Diploma in Health and Safety Management or equivalent qualification
    • COMSOC 1 and 2 Certification

    Electrician

    • The underground Electrician is accountable for repairing, replacement and upgrade of components underground. Including the maintenance of relevant records for all Winder and Electrical equipment installations.  The incumbent delivers scheduled and unscheduled tasks as assigned to ensure safe and optimal Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).  A core accountability of the role is to maintain the highest possible safety standards in area of operation and influence.

    Electrician

    • Attend to breakdowns and do appropriate root cause analysis and diagnostics
    • Be willing to work shifts, overtime and perform standby duties when required

    Supervisor Operations

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, health, environmental, regulatory, and related standards, regulations, and instructions, relevant Codes of Practice and the escalation process where deviations and non-compliance are observed
    • Ensure the establishment of safe, efficient, and proper operation/use of all machinery, equipment and infrastructure identifying areas of remedial intervention as required
    • Actively provide and demonstrate Visible Felt Leadership in line with safety, health, and environmental standards
    • Accurate and timeous reporting of all relevant safety and production matters
    • Maintain effective people management practice by ensuring that roles and competencies are clearly defined, and that effective team delivery is maintained
    • Coach and guide front line leaders (FLL) to assume and maintain effective and direct leadership accountability over their operational teams in respect of safety management, shift planning, work assignment and direction, planned task observations, etc
    • In conjunction with the FLL, coordinate and advise on operational logistics including stores, materials handling, equipment maintenance preparation and servicing to ensure end to end task planning, elimination of delays, etc
