    HSE Officer – Umhlanga

    Key Purpose and Responsibilities:

    • To coordinate and implement all site-based health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programmes and standards.
    • To provide technical direction on all HSE decisions.
    • To evaluate the work environment and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
    • To inspect the environmental impact of all operations and advise on best methods to reduce safety, health and environmental hazards.
    • Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Legislation, regulations and Company standards, including environmental requirements, food safety and occupational health and safety.
    • Emergency Preparedness: Ensuring that fire prevention and emergency procedures are formulated and implemented.
    • Risk Management: Conduct work place and job specific hazard analysis to identify potential safety, health and environmental (HSE) hazards; determine the risks associated with these hazards; and develop and implement appropriate risk control measures.Evaluate the effectiveness of risk control measures and recommend changes.
    • HSE Systems Coordination: Coordinate the development, implementation and management of a standardised and integrated HSE management system.
    • Incident Investigation: Conduct post incident investigations in order to identify root causes and determine appropriate preventative and corrective action. Drive continual improvement in HSE performance by regularly monitoring site activities and assessing the implications of any new developments..

    Required Knowledge and Qualifications:

    • Tertiary qualification in health and safety, environmental practices or related field.

    Relevant accreditation/ certification in safety practices.

    • 6 years’ experience in an HSE related role:
    •  Legislative and regulatory environment
    •  Safety regulations and standards
    •  Environmental health systems and guidelines
    •  Workplace inspection methods
    •  HSE training practices

    Sourcing Manager – Umhlanga

    Purpose of the Role:

    • To develop and institutionalise a 1-3 year sourcing and vendor management strategy for both operational and capex procurement.
    • To set up sourcing agreements for all operational and capex stock.
    • To ensure market competitiveness between suppliers.
    • To manage contract adherence and tender processes.
    • To drive sustainability, SHREQ and BEEE objectives across the supplier base.
    • To manage supplier reliability to the point of IFS warehouse or site delivery.
    • To drive increased contract coverage and spend across the Group and across the categories.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Sourcing and Vendor Management Strategy Development
    • Sourcing Agreements Setup: Set up a company standard sourcing agreement, with common logistics and financial terms, Ensuring majority of operational sourcing is achieved through suppliers with sourcing agreements.
    • Drive the analysis of in-country industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply and exploit emerging opportunities that benefit the Group.
    • Ensure tenders and contracts are legally compliant, accurately articulate the needs of the Group and protect business interests.
    • Information and Data Management and Reporting
    • HSEQ and Sustainability Management
    • Drive sustainability, risk, and compliance and BBBEE objectives.
    • Drive the management of external supplier relationships and contracts in collaboration with the regional and national management teams to ensure agreed service levels are met.
    • Lead and develop staff within the context of the Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act and the Skills Development Act.

    Required Knowledge and Qualifications:

    • Degree in commerce, management, supply chain management or a related field.
    • Minimum of 8 years’ progressive experience within a sourcing or purchasing and commercial management environment.
    • Demonstrated success in developing and fostering relationships with suppliers while driving lower costs, superior performance and continuous improvement.
    • Purchasing experience within an FMCG environment would be recommended.
    • Valid Code EB drivers' licence.
    • Willing to travel .

    Camp Manager – Umhlanga

    Key Responsibilities:

    • To manage the site services to clients in accordance with agreed client service standards and within budgetary limits.
    • To ensure optimal management of all site resources in accordance with Company standards and policy and in compliance with health, safety, quality and risk best practice and regulatory requirements.
    • Operational Management: Manage and take responsibility for closing out all operations liaison with Head and Regional Offices.
    • Manage catering, housekeeping and laundry operations in accordance with client service standards; Company key performance indicators and site targets.
    • Oversee the menu preparation and implementation and its implications for the budget and stock ordering and storage.
    • Ensure maximum profitability of the site.
    • Site Administration Management.
    • Health and Safety compliance.
    • Maintenance management on site.
    • Stock control facilitation.
    • Marketing and client relations.
    • Effective staff management.
    • Effective teamwork and self-management.

    Key Requirements:

    • At least 12 years’ experience in a related environment (preferably feeding in excess of 500 people) of which 5 should be in a senior camp management capacity with demonstrable competence in the strategic, business and commercial aspects of the management role.
    • Drivers licence.
