    Asst Supervisor Radiography

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk – based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Occupational Health Centre.
    • Have above average interpersonal skills in order to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
    • Have the ability to work independently and under pressure.
    • Have the ability to plan, develop and deliver presentations and reports for internal and external use.
    • Have at least 12 months On-the-job training for Radiography.
    • Be currently and appropriately registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Radiographer.
    • Have a NQF 6 Diploma in Radiography.
    • The Appointee should:
    • Be able to apply the principles of corporate governance and ethics in a function.
    • Possess Report writing skills.
    • Have Computer skills (MS Office and Symplexity)
    • Have a clear security screening record

    Advantageous Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor's degree in Radiography.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible to ensure that data privacy and security is observed, and that all data is stored in a secure environment.
    • Develop, monitor, and ensure compliance to policies and procedures.
    • Performs any other activities necessary for the effective comprehensive health care approach.
    • Implement a Quality assurance programme within the department and Participate in Radiation Board audits.
    • Observes health and safety issues, including ionising radiation regulations, undertaking quality control checks on X-rays and associated equipment, and contributing to quality assurance and audit initiatives by ensuring that equipment is regularly checked for malfunctions and any faults are reported.
    • Assists with the daily x-ray routines by checking on schedules / appointments by prioritizing, delivering, and time-managing workload effectively and, when appropriate, assisting supervisor to plan efficient control of workflow patterns within the department.
    • Responsible to ensure that Preventative Maintenance of all equipment is maintained in line with OEM requirements.
    • Checks patients and their clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques; performs a range of radiographic examinations on patients to produce high-quality images; observes and maintains contact with patients during their waiting, examination, and post-examination in the department.
    • Produces radiographs by positioning patients safely for examinations and, if necessary, adapting standard techniques, depending on medical conditions associated with disability, illness, or trauma; recording imaging identification and patient documentation accurately and observing protocols to ensure compliance with the medical protocols and patient confidentiality.

    Supervisor Metallurgy Plant

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • NQF 7 bachelor's degree / B tech in metallurgical / chemical engineering with at least plant experience in a metallurgical plant and completed graduate development programme
    • Have knowledge of ISO 14001 , ISO 45001 ,Metal accounting code (AMIRA) and ICMI code requirement
    • Additional Requirements:
    • Medically fit to work in the specific business area

    • valid driver's license (if applicable)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • To ensure the application, by his/her team, of management systems, processes, policies and resources provided, to meet the short term demands of the company in order to remain competitive, taking cognisance of applicable legislation and best practice principles, with the ultimate goal and aim to perform the daily activities of the operation in a responsible manner, with quality and quantity of work as priority.
    • Plans, executes and supervises all day-to-day process and maintenance activities in his / her area of responsibility
    • Conduct work planning and ensuring availability of resources e.g. liners, reagents etc.
    • Changes and optimises practices and procedures
    • Be accountable and responsible for ensuring the safe achievement of set safety, production, environmental and metallurgical efficiency and cost targets
    • Enforces compliance to all mandatory codes of practice as set out in the plant operational procedure e.g., safe storage and handling of chemicals, TMMs etc.
    • Ensure that the cyanidation process in the plant complies with the ICMI code of practices
    • Be responsible for maintaining housekeeping in their areas of responsibility

    • Enforce discipline in their areas of responsibility to employees under their charge

    • Ensure workflow is optimised in line with changes in technology or output requirements

    Superintendent Health and Safety

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • Health & Safety Management Diploma or equivalent OHS qualification (NQF Level 6)
    • Engineering trade test qualification (NQF Level 4) or Engineering tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6)

    The Appointee should:

    • Have at least 5 years supervisory level experience in the Health & Safety discipline, within an engineering, processing, or services environment.
    • Clear security screening
    • Have a valid driver’s license.
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.

    Advantageous Qualifications:

    • NQF-5/6 Tertiary Diploma/Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or Minerals Processing

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Implements, certifies and maintains Health and Safety Systems (ISO45001) by implementing Policies, Standards and Procedures in accordance with best practice and legal requirements, ensuring that Management systems are subject to regular audits and reviews, recording non-conformance and implementing corrective action.
    • Schedules and undertakes periodic Health and Safety audits and inspections for all units – identifies deviances and initiates corrective action. Follows up regularly,
    • Interprets, implements and maintains programmes for the effective monitoring of Health and Safety characteristics by reporting on Health and Safety performance indicators, ensuring compliance to requirements and that continuous improvement in Health and Safety conditions are achieved and that reporting of Health and Safety data to regulatory bodies is undertaken
    • Coordinates Health and Safety projects effectively by identifying, defining and planning with due regard to inputs from interested and affected parties, obtaining necessary regulatory approval, scoping projects and procuring finance and services. Ensures that contracts are compiled to ensure effective delivery and that Management plans are devised and implemented for the project in accordance with the requirements of ISO45001.
    • Undertakes continuous research in new technology, systems and application thereof to effect improvement in results by implementing and monitoring results of new technology, literature search completing feasibility studies, attending relevant technology forums e.g. conferences, seminars, workshops, colloquiums.
    • Ensures that Health, Safety and Environmental issues are maintained by effective PPE usage according to standard procedures, taking responsible for own safety as well as that of others
    • Performs any other activities necessary for the effective completion of his/her work.
    • Maintain and comply with SHE standards within the work environment.
    • Participate in risk assessments and investigate and take appropriate action as per identified risks
