The Senior Specialist: Application Management role based within the Technology Business Unit.

• The purpose of the Senior Specialist: Application Management is to ensure that the IT estate can be electronically discovered and represented in the uCMDB . The Senior Specialist: Application Management must also ensure that the Discovery environment is available and performing within the defined service parameters, ensuring that best practice and hygiene principles are exercised.
• The role holder will be the primary contact for infrastructure teams, application vendors, security teams and various networks teams.

• Routine administrative system tasks (scope management)
• Integration to the CMDB
• Developing workflow automations

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Managing the engagement with the Discovery application vendors to ensure that all technical aspects and issues are addressed
• Designing and implementing the optimal Discovery architecture for the Vodacom Group
• Integration to and from the Discovery toolset to accommodate various modes of infrastructure and application deployments
• Ensuring that all relevant business units are able to make use of the Discovery services

The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

• 3yr Degree/Diploma (IT-related)
• At least 5yrs Discovery experience
• ITIL v3 certification
• At least 5yrs Telecommunication experience
• Experience working in a DevOps environment
• AWS Developer certification

The Senior Specialist: Business Analysis vacancy is based withinthe Consumer Business IT department.

Role purpose: To ensure that user requirements for the business are documented, developed, and delivered on. Lead and/or mentor a practice of Business Analysis across the delivery portfolio, ensuring the development and maintenance of highly skilled and motivated practice members.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Supports the business unit owner in the formulation of an initiative by determining problems and identifying business needs to ensure that the business needs are aligned to the business strategic and tactical goals.
• To document and manage changes to requirements throughout the project life cycle by capturing requirement attributes and building a traceability matrix.
• Facilitate requirements gathering through interview, requirements workshops, etc.
• Maintain a steady backlog of requirements that are ready to go Program Incremental Planning.
• Support the day-to-day needs of Scrum teams in understanding customer and business requirements
• Identify the risks related to changes in requirements, determine the impact those risks may have on the ability to deliver benefits, and recommends actions to mitigate risks where possible.
• To ensure effective communication and liaison with all stakeholders
• To ensure that deliverables developed meet the business requirements and quality standards.
• To perform business analysis and design activities by assessing requirements in terms of feasibility, impact and cost, thereby assisting to create and compile accurate user requirement documents.
• To ensure that projects are delivered according to requirements, specified designs and that the technical and business teams are aligned around the same objectives and deliverables.

The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

• Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent (essential), and
• 3 Year Degree / equivalent Diploma /equivalent Certificate in Information Technology / Business / Project Management (essential), and
• 5 - 8 Years business analysis / systems analysis experience preferably in a highly
• complex in-house development environment (essential)
• Recognised Business Analysis qualification (FTI, Agile Business Analysis, etc) (essential)
• 1 – 2 years’ experience as Business Analyst in an Agile development environment
