    Artisan Instrumentation-TAR (Secunda)

    • Compile and maintain TAR records management files, QCP’s timeously and accurately.  ( ready for next TAR on spanner date) (scanning in of documentation directly after start-up) 
    • Ensure that the relevant documentation required by the TAR team / service providers are in place and up to date. (Data sheets, Procedures, MFD’s Loop Drawings etc. Communication between Technicians/running plant foreman when discrepancies are identified / if documentation is required)(service provider to assist if required)
    • QC of record management files and QCP’s on a weekly basis to confirm that service provider adheres to program and QCP standards.(signing off of work done by service providers when satisfied of work performed)
    • Ensure that pre TAR. Inspections, plant walk downs are done with running plants prior to scoping of the next TAR. capturing opportunity work needed by the running plant and confirming relevant spares are available for execution of said opportunity work. ( ordering of spares from, load notifications)(Service provider to assist if required
    • Assist in Execution of shutdown work as per program, (Shared responsibilities with service providers and peers.) with fault finding, projects, efficiency improvements
    • Knowledge and Know-how specific to the job
    • Must have a strong knowledge and understanding Health and Safety rules, regulations and processes
    • Must have a strong knowledge and understanding of  Statutory Governance Requirements (Trips and alarms,loop checks,functions checks and fault finding)
    • Must have a strong knowledge and understanding of maintenance practices and procedures and shutdown procedure management
    • Must have a strong knowledge of  CMMS, Microsoft Office Products and Google Suite Products
    • Following specific scope: Scheduling, spares identifying, spares handling including tracking, execution of program, compiling relevant documentation and search for needed information.
    • Assist with technical queries encountered during task executions. (Datasheet deviations, installation queries, fault finding)
    • Ensure all work done is executed to Air Liquide standards: Calibration, Installation, Function checks, Trip and alarms.
    • Communicate, follow up and implement any deviations and/or decisions made by the plant owner.
    • Self-driven and motivated for a TAR environment where to partake in all aspects of the TAR: From pre-planning to execution to closing out. Prior to deadlines
    • Identify shortcomings in information, communicate and drive for solutions and implement decisions
    • Need to work on Navision assisting in pre-loading (ordering and following up), Maximo, to collect needed information, Fully computer literate in Microsoft office documentation
    • Be self-driven and motivated for a TAR environment where to partake in all aspects of the TAR: From pre-planning to execution to closing out.
    • Develop documentation (Procedures, Handover documents, History keeping) and handle all documents per scope. (Compiling, completing, scanning)
    • Guide contractors as per scope and execution thereof and perform quality control of executed work to Air Liquide standards

    Are you a MATCH?

    • Grade 12 with Maths, Science, English
    • NQF 4 Occupational Trade Qualification OR Red Seal Trade test as Instrument Mechanician
    • Any further education in Industrial automation and/or instrument valve overhauling  (advantageous)

    Experience

    • A minimum of four(4) years relevant experience as a Maintenance Artisan 
    • Years of experience necessary will depend on the complexity of the work area and technology
    • High level of Turnaround/G.O experience within heavy industry required
    • Adequate experience in inventory management (especially critical valve studies) required.
    • Experience in scheduling,scoping,tendering and procurement processes required.
    • Technical valve knowledge and experience required (Quality, Installation, Assembling, Overhauling, FAT)
    • Computer literacy (Mandatory)
    • Supervisory background to manage service providers regards to quality, scheduling and signing off on planned work together with daily scheduling of priority work to be performed.

    Maintenance and Turnaround Planner-2 (Secunda)

    How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

    Maintenance Planner

    • Schedules the preventive maintenance plan  
    • Analyses requests to design the scope, the time and the cost of the intervention to perform
    • Checks required resources availability according qualification (field technician, sub-contractors)
    • Checks equipements and spare parts and plans request to procurement 
    • Checks liquid or/and cylinder availability and coordinates with dispatching
    • Schedules the work according above requirements, safety and costs objectives
    • Follows the coherence of the data full filled in the SAP System by the Workforce. 

    2. Controls the preventive maintenance execution                

    • Releases maintenance orders in the SAP System 
    • Launchs the purchase request for spare parts and services
    • Final checks the liquid and cylinder availability
    • Communicates to customer, sub-contractors and field Technician final date and time
    • Launches the order technical closure from field technician confirmation

    3. Coordinates with Tele-maintenance operator for curative  

    • Receives the scheduled curative maintenance notifications from Tele-maintenance operator
    • Creates & fills the work orders in the system, confirms the services and spare parts availability 
    • Releases the work orders and coordinates with Tele-Maintenance operator, procurement and field Technician for execution.
    • Manages the intervention report while work performed.
    • Completes the malfunction catalog and performs the technical closure for invoicing

    4. Identifies workforce needs and required capabilities    

    • Recommends the workforce needs according planning to the Maintenance Domain leader
    • Assigns required ressources to work according individual qualification and know-how
    • Manages the individual qualification of field Technicians
    • Checks capacity planning of the Field technicians (100% full filled), Check qualification of the team

    5. Updates and optimizes maintenance planning                                                                             

    • Reviews of drawings and specifications of entity equipments according country regulation
    • Reviews planing with Maintenance Domain leader, logistics and production
    • Tracks maintenance costs and optimizes equipments and materials using
    • Ensures that the warehousing is effective to fullfill maintenance planning needs by reviewing and updating spare part inventories
