    Junior IT Support Technician


    SoluGrowth is looking for a Junior IT Support Technician to provide IT support to our client based in BOKSBURG. The Junior Support Technician's role is to support and maintain the client’s computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. That includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all the client’s hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas and provide end-user assistance.

    This is a 12 months fixed term contract.


    • Set up and maintain user-mail accounts, when requested by the client.
    • Maintain client users’ computer (personal devices excluded).
    • Install and configure software and hardware.
    • Manage network servers and technology tools.
    • Set up accounts and workstations.
    • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
    • Troubleshoot IT infrastructure issues, network outages and escalate to the service providers.
    • Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
    • Upgrade systems with new releases and model.
    • Maintain and repair the operating systems including hardware and software.
    • Install and provision computers on the network.
    • Manage, maintain, and update onsite copiers and multifunction printers.
    • Setting up of emails on both local machines and cell phones.
    • Installing VOIP Phones and Setting Up Projector for users.
    • Assist with issues on ERP System.
    • Make sure all clocking stations are always functional.
    • Server Health and Performance Checks.
    • Keep service desk updated.
    • Liaise with external suppliers for the repair of equipment under warranty of maintenance contract.
    • Perform other ad hoc projects as and when required


    • Matric
    • Degree or Diploma in Information Technology   
    • 1 to 3 years related work experience.


    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
    • Ability to work with a cross functional team
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Able to take control of situations and events (added advantage)
    • Willingness to learn
    • Good computer literacy skills
    • Deadline driven
    • Must be flexible to travel
