    Key Accounts Associate


    • Ensure the implementation of the marketing and sales strategies as developed by the Sanofi business while working in conjunction with the Inland Key Accounts Manager.
    • Implementation,monitoring & management of Public Sector Key Accounts by driving visibility on demand from key facilities within provinces.
    • Ensure coordination of the optimal flow of information between Sanofi management, the Sanofi business and the customers.
    • Explore buyout opportunities at a facility level and communicate timeously to management.
    • Holistic Key Account Management linking our products, solutions, services & footprint to the needs and requirements of our customers & stakeholders within the Public Sector


    • Achieve sales targets within Free State and Northern Cape Inland Region across government facilities.
    • Bring visibility on & drive predictability of orders within the Public Sector Value Chain.
    • Manage expenses and related activities in order to secure additional business from institutions within the region.
    • Utilizing available data sets to guide customers’ purchasing behaviour.
    • Serve as a vital link between our Products, Services, Solutions & Footprint and our Public Sector Stakeholders – shaping our offering to the needs of individual customers & implementing accordingly to deliver on our immediate sales numbers and long term Public Sector Ambition.
    • Play an active role in identifying Buy-Out opportunities at an institutional level.
    • Take full accountability and ownership of the ordering and relationship at assigned Facilities.
    • Key Account Management and integration within provinces at hospital Level.
    • Serve as the company’s direct link to the relevant institutions and provide relevant and immediate feedback on changes in the purchasing & clinical landscape to better determine risks and opportunities.


    • Business (commercial) tertiary education will be advantageous, ideally with scientific background.

    Experience & Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to converse on a high level with public healthcare officials
    • At least 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience with at least one year collectively in the Public Sector
    • Having an established network and relationships with Key Stakeholders within the Public Sector environment will be beneficial
    • Highly focused and drives to set for themselves.
    • High level of computer literacy.


    • Knowledge of Public Sector processes and customers - preferable
    • Understand the dynamics of Government Tenders
