Job Objectives:

• Fault tracing and diagnosis on Volvo Products.
• Apply knowledge and experience to interpret symptoms of “under performance” or failure of components.
• Follow directives provided in Workshop Manuals.
• Interpret Volvo manuals, specifications, directives and instructions.
• Produce work of acceptable standards as per instructions/directives.
• Produce and maintain work of acceptable standard.
• Follow repair and maintenance instructions and specifications provided in Manual and Service Literature.
• Follow procedures/processes to ensure vehicles/components are presented to customers in acceptable condition.
• Provide comprehensive and accurate reports of diagnosis, assessment of component/part failures, observations, actions and recommendations.
• Document observations, actions, recommendations and job cards and relevant service/information sheets.
• Follow Instructions from Management and supervisors concerning work allocated and produce and maintain work of a Volvo standard.
• Carry out work allocated i.e. job cards.
• Carry out the work allocated to the Volvo standard and specifications.
• On completion of the work completed the Job cards.
• When completing the job cards the following will be looked at:
• Complaint.
• Cause.
• Correction.
• Complete QC documentation.
• Complete servicing schedules.
• Parts invoicing.
• Vehicle standard times.
• Complete the job cards in such a manner so as that the service advisor can interpret the information correctly.
• Hours worked are reflection of the job card.

Ensure house keeping is maintained to the Volvo standard and the management requirement.

• All tooling is maintained.
• Work area is as required by management and the Volvo prescription.
• Store the equipment as prescribed by management.

Assist when mechanical repairs are required.

• When there is insufficient auto electrical work assist in mechanical repairs as when requested by the supervisor.

Compliance to ISO 9001 and Safety

• Ensure all process in your area of responsibility are following ISO standard.
• Ensure the safety process are followed.
• Ensure the Safety Act and Regulation is adhered to.

Job Objectives:

Strategic:

• Secure financial and administrative compliance of the bus division through audits and continuous collaboration with (MIAC) Middle East, Israel, Africa and CIS and (VGSA) Volvo Group Southern Africa finance.
• Analyze financial performance (revenue and cost) of the department, report deviations and assist with corrective/improvement actions.
• Continuous improvement of systems, ways of working (admin), reporting, etc. (less is more).

Operational:

Business Office:

• Always secure a high level of accuracy in all functions.
• Support with budget compilations, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Control financial activities and report deviations as required by VGSA & MIAC.
• Manage customer accounts and invoices using prescribed system (Evolve).
• Manage allocation of provisions from sales transactions.
• Support with the preparation of BRM and monthly estimates.
• Support regional financial controller MIAC.
• Coordinate and control rolling bus stock, maintenance, cleaning and safe-guard and protect of components at risk. (Perform visual inspections from time to time).

• Liase with Logistics department to ensure timely deliveries.

• Creating purchase orders and GRV goods as well as record keeping. 

Administration:

• Full responsible for all office administration (sales, services, competence development, product engineering, partners, travel arrangements & bookings, etc.).
• Liaise and communicate with customers and internal supply chain with respect to vehicles, delivery schedules, customer accounts and invoices.
• Manage daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly reports and secure on-time submission.
• Manage vehicle introduction onto Natis, registration & licensing using the appointed service provider.
• Support with documentation during chassis/body homologation.
• Fully responsible for tender admin (document control, compliance sheet approvals, etc.). 
• Monitor financial KPIs, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, motivate implementation of cost control measures, to enhance efficiencies.
• Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to optimize inventory and minimize cost management.

Marketing:

• Lead the marketing function for the bus division incl. digital & magazine submissions.
• Liaise with VGSA & MIAC marketing responsible and coordinate campaigns, functions, etc.
• Full responsibility with event planning, arrangement and execution.

Job Objectives: 

• Ensures that all operations activities are in alignment with VFS and Volvo Group policies and procedures. 
• Ensures effectiveness, robustness and transparency of the Operations processes by analysis of KPI’s and drives continuous quality and process improvements within the Operations function.
• Controls the production and management of documentation in accordance with security and compliance requirements and to meet audit guidelines and targets. 
• Identifies and evaluates operational and administrative risks and recommends on mitigation procedures; operational risk incidents need to be reported to the Managing Director in order to ensure that operational risks are measured and appropriate risk mitigating actions are taken.
• Manage and lead the Solutions Engineer and make sure the person is aligned with VFS IT and Volvo IT locally and globally on current Volvo and VFS solutions and system or program role outs. 
• Implementation of new CMS system and the project management of the chosen solution.
• Co-ordinates with Legal Counsel to maintain local legal requirements including updating documentation.
• Evaluate, develop and implement new income revenue/cost saving initiatives including Volvo on Demand, wholesale finance and insurance offerings.
• Recruit, develop, train and retain talented people for the various roles that might be required to launch new initiatives such as Volvo on Demand, wholesale finance and insurance offerings.
• Establish and maintain relationships with various role players internally and externally to enable the successful role out of new initiatives.
