    Finance Accountant: Budgets

    Job Description    

    • Reporting tthe Head of commercial finance, the primary responsibility of this role is tassist with the annual as well as ad hoc budget process.
    • This includes the preparation of various finance systems, budget loading and report preparation, as well as providing support tall stakeholders (operations, head office and executives).
    • Additional responsibilities include, the timely preparation of monthly key performance indicators, ensuring the accuracy of all reported data, as well as various ad hoc reporting requirements.

    Key Responsibilities    

    Weekly

    • Weekly sales reporting tfinance, merchandise and executives

    Monthly

    • Generate monthly sales targets
    • Perform detailed expense and variance analysis and produce various management reports if required
    • Maintain all store related data in the general ledger
    • Prepare financial and statistical information (KPI`s)
    • Prepare hours and sales analysis for all stores by week
    • Prepare store profitability report

    Annual

    • Prepare and calculate various required budget data
    • Draft & distribute budget-related communication and manuals tbudget users
    • Assist in the preparation of budget guidelines
    • Assist in preparation, enhancement and testing of the budget system
    • Manage the capital expenditure budget process, preparation of data for capture by users, analysis of received data and presentation of results
    • Create budget summaries of expense and sales
    • Load and reconcile budgets from our budgeting tour reporting system

    Ad hoc

    • Identify all new store openings and manage the budget process
    • Perform various store data analysis as required by operations and head office
    • Preparation of various quarterly and year end reporting requirements
    • Manage store restructure changes in various systems

    Qualifications and Experience    

    • B.Comm or Management/Cost Accounting or equivalent (South Africa)
    • Accounting degree and part qualified CIMA or equivalent (United Kingdom)
    • Strong system understanding
    • Experience in budgets would be an advantage
    • Experience in a retail finance environment would be an advantage
    • Experience in Oracle would be an advantage
    • Experience in Anaplan would be an advantage

    Electrical Technician

    Job Description    

    • The Electrical Technician will play a key role in providing hands-on maintenance support to all operations, conducting problem-solving activities, and ensuring the smooth functioning of electrical systems. The ideal candidate will be self-managed, reliable, punctual, and possess a diverse skill set, including minor building maintenance tasks and a strong understanding of PLC, automation processes & preventative maintenance systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    Qualifications and Experience    

    • +5 Years Technical or maintenance experience with a strong knowledge of conveyors and motors.
    • Red seal trade test certificate
    • PLC knowledge and programing
    • Relevant technical qualifications or certification in electrical engineering or a related field.
    • Valid driver license
    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring diagrams.
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical problems and performing repairs.
    • Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

    Sourcing Assistant

    Employee Relations Specialist

    Job Description    

    • Truworths has an exciting opportunity in the Employee Relations department for an IR Professional with a passion for day-to-day IR. The core objective of the Employee Relations team is to ensure fair and respectful treatment of employees, in compliance with the law and consistent with our values, policies and objectives.
    • This position requires an individual who has previous employee and labour relations experience and skills that enables the individual to work on a broad spectrum of employee relations and labour law matters.
    • The individual will be based at our head office in Cape Town.

    • Assisting Line Managers with preparation for CCMA cases

    • Assist and collaborate on various ER projects.
    • Managing the anonymous whistleblower process in accordance with the relevant legislations.

    Qualifications and Experience    
    Qualification/s:

    • Relevant tertiary qualification in HR/IR.
    • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (would be advantageous).

    Experience / Knowledge:

    • At least 2 years’ experience as an IR specialist or HR Generalist with IR experience would be advantageous.
    • Previous experience within the Retail or Service sector will be advantageous.
