Duties

- Completes various reports for parents, Principals and/or Academics Department throughout the year (STASY, Inquiry Units, Other)
- Participates in the moderation and standardisation process, of formal assessments. Participate in team marking, clusters and IEB moderation as required.
Student Behaviour Management (10%)
- Manages student behaviour in the classroom by establishing rules, essential agreements and procedures as expected behaviours.
- Promotes personal, social, physical and emotional well-being of individual students, groups of students, through mentorship program.
- Provides guidance and advice to students and parents.
- Identifies students who may have barriers to learning and inform the appropriate people to initiate the next steps to support individual progress.

Key Purpose Statement
- The role of the Billing-to-Collection Controller is to ensure accurate AR reporting (balance sheet and income statement) and minimize the Brand debt and drive maximization of revenue (billing completeness and collection), while ensuring optimal customer experience in the billing-to-collection operations.
Responsibilities:
Billing | Drive billing accuracy and superior billing customer service. Activities include:
- Coordinate monthly compilation and control of student billing input and throughput (fee schedule). Perform periodical independent checks on accuracy / completeness of billing input.
- Control GSS billing process quality by managing SLA and KPI and performing independent controls
- Coordinate the compilation of the relevant billing master data for the new school year (pricing, bursaries, discounts,...)
- Coordination of the renewal of the third party customer contracts for the new year
- Implement and coordinate monthly the school operations and controls to drive the accuracy of student and third party billing input in SIMS, D365 and KARRI.
- Coordinate monthly compilation and controls of billing processed outside of SIMS (third party and ad hoc student billing). Perform periodical independent checks on accuracy / completeness of billing input.
- Drive continuous billing process improvement and implementation of action plans.
Drive maximization of other income:
- Approve the pricing for schools fundraising events (tours, events, ad hoc school billing,…) and control collection and actual Profit and loss of those events.
- Drive adherence to Third Party billing guidelines (fee matrix)
- Drive profit optimization of the tuckshop rentals by setting up/managing commercial terms for contracts/tenders
- Identify opportunities for revenue maximization and implement action plans to deliver benefits
Billing-to-collection-related policies (brand level), SOP, control tool and templates
- Develop and maintain brand policies, Brand SOP, control tools and templates
- Animate the brand approval milestones for all decisions relating to the billing-to-collection cycle (bursary, discount, NRE, PST, third party billing outside brand guidelines,...)
- Continuously review coverage and effectiveness of billing-to-collection operations internal control, develop and strengthen internal controls.
Student Bursary/Discount control and application management (scope: bursaries, sibling discount and staff discounts)
- Animate the application and approval milestones for bursary and discounts
- Perform periodical controls on accuracy of bursaries and discounts
- Manage staff discount process (from application to billing) and continuously drive process improvement
- Review applications for bursaries and discounts
Reporting

- Prepare monthly management reports (with KPI and insights for decision-making)
Debt management | drive debt minimization for the Brand. Activities include:
- Control GSS collection process quality by managing SLA and KPI and performing independent controls
- Validate GSS bad debt write-off proposal (twice a year)
- Coordinate and control the non re-enrolment (NRE), pre-suspension/suspension/termination (PST) and Pre-Legal hand over campaigns. Track progress and effectiveness. Control and sign-off the PST lists.
- Drive continuous improvement of the debt management processes and controls with GSS and Brand Teams

Student Capacity Planning
- Works closely with the Head: Academic Operations and Head: Student Recruitment (where applicable) in understanding student number target requirements for the following year for capacity planning purposes.

- Review and update memorandum of understanding with Department of Education.
- Receive confirmation letter or ensure circular has been submitted to schools for visitation authorisation.
- Set school visitation schedule onsite or telephonically.
- Assess school to determine if it meets the standards to partner with.
- Identify functional schools for potential placements.
- Compile letter based on requirements requesting partnerships and number of learners that could be accommodated.
- Receive and review notifications of number of students that may be accommodated.
Preparation, Placement and Support of Students
- Assist Social Media Specialist with social media management and content planning.
- Conduct workshops to expose students to the professional code of conduct and schools’ expectations to align them to the world of work
- Conduct location survey for students to inform placements
- Compile school placement tracker and assign students to schools
- Advise students of placements and schedule
- Complete the acknowledgement of placement form and issue to students for visit to school to introduce prior to work experience
- Issue mentor and mentee agreement form to student for completion on introduction visit
- Track and check final placements and reassign learners to alternative schools if required
- Check on students’ progress at schools
- Make alternative arrangements for learners in the event of inappropriate arrangements
- Conduct meetings internally and with head of schools to check progress of placements
- Manage recall of students for disciplinary issues
Sourcing and Training of Teaching Experience Supervisors/ Mentors
- Identify and recruit supervisors for teaching experience
- Onboard supervisors including contracting
- Conduct training workshops for supervisors
- Assign supervisors to students based on location
- Issue student details to supervisors for communication with students
- Track and check that communication and supervision is occurring
- Contact supervisors that are not in contact to remedy the situation
Teaching Experience Administration
- Check and track that all students are being assessed
- Check and track that students are completing and submitting all required documentation
- Contact students not complying with submissions and put in place corrective measures
- Compile reports on the status of students placed
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications
- B.Ed. Honour’s degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Education (at NQF level 8)
- The undergraduate or postgraduate qualification must include a focus on teaching at the Intermediate phase band

Job Purpose:
- The Teaching Experience Supervisor provides guidance, support, and assessment to student teachers during their teaching practice placements in Gauteng schools. The role ensures that pre-service teachers effectively integrate theory with practice and develop the professional skills, knowledge, and attitudes required for successful teaching in South African schools.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Observing and evaluating the student teachers’ performance during student teaching experiences in appropriate classroom settings.
