    FITTER (ENG)

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    •  To provide a mechanical service and support to all area operations through effective maintenance and installation of equipment and machinery.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    •  Grade 10 or N2 with 4 relevant subjects
    •  Valid Trade Certificate Section 13/26D

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

    •  Minimum of three years mining experience as an Artisan
    •  Experience in construction

    COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS

    •  Good communication skills in English.

    Valid Drivers’ licence.
     JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    •  Conduct daily inspections to ensure the safe and effective operation of machinery and equipment
    •  Ensure the safe and effective handling of all Engineering machinery and equipment
    •  General housekeeping in area of responsibility
    •  Conduct pre-start checks
    •  Maintain hand and power driven tools
    •  Conduct lubricating tasks i.e. moving and rotating parts
    •  Use hand tools (hammers, chisels, spanners, power tools mechanic power saw etc.
    •  Install and secure pipe lines
    •  Install and secure pipe lines
    •  Perform tasks on elevated areas or structures
    •  Dismantle or assemble equipment (pumps, rock drills etc.) if trained and licenced
    •  Remove tight fitting sleaves, bushes, coupling from shafts of casing by means of pullers or presses
    •  Man-handle heavy materials
    •  Perform maintenance tasks on sewage treatment plants
    •  Service and maintain machines and mechanical equipment
    •  Perform lifting and rigging operations
    •  Operate stationery drilling machines
    •  Report to control room

    FOREMAN TRACKLESS

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    •  Assist the Trackless: GES and deliver quality work output in the day-today work activities within the relevant policies, procedures and legislation.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    •  Grade 12/N3
    •  Valid Trade Certificate Section 13/26D

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

    •  Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Chargehand;
    •  Previous experience in a Trackless environment would be an advantage

    COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS

    •  Computer literacy (MS Office & Windows)
    •  Good communication and organising skills
    •  Valid Driver’s Licence

     JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    •  Ensure that all capital projects in are scheduled and excecated with in the time frame given.
    •  Ensure that maintenance and breakdowns are prioritise and attended to and reported to control.
    •  Annalise all break downs and put controls in place to prevent reoccurrences.
    •  Continuous improvement initiatives.
    •  Supervise contractors labour, equipment and ensure that contractors packs are up to date.
    •  Assist subordinates with major breakdowns
    •  Ensure that all job cards and works orders are closed out properly and handed to the maintenance planner.
    •  Over inspections to be done randomly on all subordinates and

    PTO’S to be conducted regularly.

    •  Control Budget allocated to section per shift and or maintenance category and ensure that cost saving initiative is also adhered to.
    •  Ensure that hand over notes and risk assessments are done daily.
    •  Ensure that subordinates have the correct tools and equipment available to perform their duties.
    •  Investigate all damages to mine equipment and compile a report.
    •  Report to Control Room and scrutinise all down time and ensure that bookings are correct and accurate.
    •  Managing of Safety Systems.
    •  Ensure that mine health and safety act and all standards and procedures are adhered to and communicate effectively to all subordinates around this.
    •  Compile and submit all required paperwork and reports
    •  Ensure that all maintenance related spares and equipment are made available and on stock if required. Work closely with procurement department to ensure this is done.
    •  Plan, organize and manage labour (Leave schedules overtime management, recruitment, training and succession planning.)
    •  Manage spares, equipment and routable process and ensure that all old major components are properly tagged and available at the lay down area in order for the components to go for repair. Proper RCA is done on all components.

     Ensure that all critical spares are managed and available.

    INSTRUMENTATION MECHANICIAN

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    •  Ensure legal compliance and quality instrumentation deliverables.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    •  Grade 12 or N3 with 4 relevant subjects
    •  Valid Trade Certificate Section 13/26D

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

    •  Minimum of three years mining experience as a Mechanician
    •  Sound knowledge of Siemens S7 PLC and programming
    •  Solid experience of WinCC and Android

    Scada systems.
    COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS

    •  Experience and sound Instrumentation and electrical knowledge
    •  Be completely PC proficient
    •  Be prepared to do standby duties
    •  Solid experience Scales
    •  Sound knowledge blasting (NSS)
    •  Valid Drivers’ Licence

    •  Perform effective routine maintenance and fault finding on all Instrumentation equipment
    •  Involvement in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and implementation of new projects

    MILLWRIGHT (ENG)

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    •  To safely carry out preventive maintenance and assist with breakdowns and repairs mechanical equipment

     MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    •  Grade 10 / N2 with 4 relevant subjects

     Valid Millwright Trade Test Certificate:

    • Section 13/26D
    •  MV Qualified up to 11kV

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

    •  Minimum of 3 years in a underground mining environment
    •  Experience in a plant environment will be an advantage

    COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS

    •  Good communication skills in English;
    •  Ability to work accurate under pressure

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
     Adhere to the legislated safety, health and environmental standards in every task performed

    •  Isolate and lockout with relevant documents

    •  Perform the job as outlined in the Work Order and as per the detailed Task List

    •  Assist in tyre changes
    •  Attend to breakdown quickly and safely
    •  Capture all data related to the stoppage to aid in determining the root cause
    •  Change out of item/component
    •  Create Works Order detailing item to be drawn from stock
    •  Create reservation for rotable on Works Order
    •  Create subsequent notification
    •  Complete all fields on the "Damage" tag on the return item to rotable store
    •  Physically transport damaged rotable to lay down area
    •  Conduct maintenance and breakdowns as required.
    •  Update and maintain the maintenance system
    •  Submit reports as required
    •  Be able to read and understand drawings and schematics
    •  Compile and submit all required paperwork
