    Maintenance Planner: Engineering

    Closing Date: 2020/03/18

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Planning maintenance activities and co-ordination of maintenance activities including annual shutdown and daily adhoc work.
    • Analyse machinery and component life cycles by identifying failure trends.
    • Verifying integrity of data captured by artisans on a daily basis.
    • Updating job cards and maintenance schedules based on OEM manuals and historical performance.
    • Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work.
    • Manage preventative and predictive maintenance strategies, which will include condition monitoring and other practices.
    • Monitor job completion rates and report trends to the Engineering management team.
    • CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) – implementation, optimization and management of the Shopware Asset Care system.
    • Planning and optimising the most appropriate maintenance tasks for relevant equipment
    • Analysis and interpretation of maintenance history and feedback report preparation
    • Ensure ongoing communication with Engineering Team Leaders, Production Managers and Production Planner
    • Work closely with engineering stores personnel to control spares and stock levels
    • Projects – work closely with the project team to ensure efficient delivery of tasks involving engineering input

    Experience Required

    • Completed a trade test as a Fitter, Millwright and Electrical with a recognized institution
    • National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical- or Electrical Engineering (N6/T3/S4) highly advantageous

    Additional Requirements    

    • Knowledge of Electronic Maintenance Management System (EMMS) e.g. SAP, Shopware and/or Pragma experience
    • Experience with CMMS preferably ‘On Key”, will be a distinct advantage
    • Knowledge of TPM and RCM concepts and principles
    • Knowledge of MS Projects and MS Excel advantageous

    Project Engineer (FMCG - Food Production)

    Electrician

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Carry out repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment and high speed packaging machines
    • Ensure machine availability to meet production targets
    • Ensure machinery is set up as per machine manufacturers specifications. Consult or refer back to the OEM’S in order to get the machine to its manufactured standards if not operating as per specification
    • Ensure machine safety with respect to safety switches and guarding is at all times functional and in good condition, including adherence to lockout and tag out procedures
    • Record all project and maintenance data (downtime, spares, improvement recommendations) on CMMS
    • Plan shutdown work on equipment and processes
    • Identify root cause and failure analysis on all breakdowns
    • Ensure all electrical installations comply with, and meet the requirements of the OHSACT and SANS 01042

    Experience Required    

    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Electrician in the FMCG environment

    Minimum Qualifications Required    

    • Must be a qualified electrician with a recognized trade test (red seal)
    • Must have a minimum theoretical qualification of N6
    • Switching certificate
    • Wireman's licence required

    Additional Requirements    

    • Ability to interpret and understand complex electrical drawings
    • Above average fault finding techniques
    • Knowledge of HACCP, QMS and GMP
    • Knowledge of any CMMS of which SAP will be an added advantage
