    Battery Assembly Production Process Coach

    POSITION DETAILS

    • Lead by example, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace is always maintained. 
    • Achieve the required company quality standards ensuring both internal and external customer satisfaction. 
    • Ensuring that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are monitored, and targets achieved
    • Liaise and coordinate with support functions to progress issues concerning production planning and resource/skill allocation to ensure delivery of products to schedule within all relevant quality specifications 
    • Communicate with the teams by utilizing the visual management, delivering shift briefs with focus on quality, cost and delivery, and gathering ideas for improvement 
    • Drive performance of team members, giving direction and feedback to aid good performance 
    • Ensure safe working practices are maintained and ‘Standard Operations’ adhered to and all HV Safety Level are completed by all Teams.
    • Ensure that non-conformance is challenged and counter-measures are agreed and implemented. 
    • Motivate the team to create a high-performance culture where improvement suggestions are embraced 
    • Through the utilization of lean manufacturing techniques, strive to exceed the Company targets in productivity, efficiency, and quality on a continuous basis 
    • Support the implementation of engineering changes, production trials, model change and pilot build 
    • Report and act upon plant or machinery breakdowns to maintenance technicians. 
    • Promote Total Productive Maintenance procedures to further improve the availability of the line. 
    • Contribute to the improvement of working procedures by constantly looking for solutions to ensure the best productivity results of her/his machinery group and ensuring compliance with procedures, operating instructions and work instructions
    • Deal with personnel issues on shift including interaction with the Trade Union, in line with Company Policy and Agreements 
    • Responsible for training of operators for products and processes within the local team to L3-4 WITH Versatility tracked.
    • Conduct incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure
    • Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems 
    • Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them

    QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

    • National Diploma or degree: In Electrical Engineering 
    • 5 -10 Years Manufacturing Assembly Experience (Electrical component assembly)
    • Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Kaizen, lean manufacturing 
    • Experienced with a number of systems, expert in at least one area and working knowledge of a number of other areas of specialization 
    • Full understanding of design and production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap and re-work

    Facilities Engineer

    ROLE SUMMARY

    Responsible person will be required to co-ordinate, run, administer, and organize all project activities in cooperation with/and under the direction of the Manufacturing and Plant Engineering Manager, aiming
    at the flawless execution of the project.

    POSITION DETAILS

    • Coordinate activities, resources, equipment, and information in line with project scope and definition.
    • Liaise with contractors to identify and define project requirements,scope and objectives.
    • Prepare project proposals, timeframes, schedule, and budgets.
    • Monitor and track project’s progress and handle any issues that arise.
    • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status adequately to all participants.
    • Use project management tools to monitor working hours, budget,plans, and funding spend.
    • Issue all appropriate legal paperwork.
    • Report and escalate to management as needed.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports.
    • Responsible for Preventive Maintenance updates based on the performed projects – support Maintenance.
    • Optimization of preventive maintenance jobs based on break down analysis and findings – support Maintenance.
    • Participating in regular core team meetings in line with overall project status and deadlines
    • Participation in project completion talks.
    • Lead, setup and participate in cross-functional team meetings.
    • Link between Plant Facilities team and Production relating to site work specific to Facilities – facilitate the work where and when required.
    • Support the Electrical Authorized Person (ESAP) in all substation and electrical power related work for example projects, substation maintenance, upgrades, energy saving initiatives and projects.
    • Ensure full compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Act for all machinery & electrical distribution system

    • Technology or equivalent project professional experience.
    • 3 years + Experience in automated plant and project management in the automation portfolio desirable
    • 3 years + Experience in MV Electrical networks is desirable.
    • 2 years + Experience in AutoCAD is desirable
    • Previous experience in cooperating with Project Managers for the delivery of projects
    • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and of project and management tools
    • Resilience, flexibility, teamwork, cost awareness.
    • Wiremen’s license will be advantageous

    PVS Analyst

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure scheduling is reviewed and monitored daily.
    • Update the broadcast in line with EOL inputs, GPAM and PVS Broadcast notifications.
    • Support and update Engineering changes EOL parts in line with the ECU file, New VSCS file and New Calibration files.
    • Follow up on aging units in Bodyshop, Paintshop, Stotz and TCF.
    • Ensure accurate reports are circulated to the Cross Functional Team.
    • Update and Run the offline VMC, RMA broadcasts.
    • Support Cross Functional Team with data as an when required.
    • Ensure Bodyshop auto buildlist has no errors and is accurate. 
    • Track and monitor all Passed to Sales Vehicles daily.
    • Monitor Production Constraints in line with the Get Ready Document post MP2 launch program.
    • Support Launch Programs for scheduling, broadcasts update and circulating Launch System Fill report.
    • Daily aging report circulated to Bodyshop and Paintshop.
    • Engage with the IMG team for best practices for continuous improvement.
    • Support the Stotz team as the Process Coach on shift.
    • Support IT on special projects like patches, upgrades, etc.
    • Support different shops with re-prints.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s Degree / National Diploma in Information Technology/ Informatics/ Systems Programming. 
    • EOL/ IT/ Systems Programming experience.
    • Minimum 2- 3 years motor vehicle experience in either IT/ EOL/ Programming Engineering experience.

    Eng Spec,Dyna & TD

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • New Programs: lead engineering works in the development of machining/ engine assembly manufacturing strategy using a combination of proven technology & common practices that align to global manufacturing bill of process (BoP). Lead development of process documentation (DCP, PFMEA, process sheets, error proofing, etc). 
    • Support role to meet program timing plans and recovery actions.
    • Machine requisition & acceptance: Support new/ refurbished equipment requisition activity from enquiry specification development, purchase, design, initial run-off, installation, final capability and machine acceptance (MAC).
    • Production support: Fault finding and analysis of major production issues (quality/process/tooling related) for issue resolution, on a daily basis.
    • Standards: Adherence to global, regional & local manufacturing & safety standards.
    • Change Implementation: Lead all process/ tooling related MTC’s (manage the change) for all safety, quality, delivery related opportunities.
    • Coaching: Provide technical leadership, coaching & teaching to peers to ensure effective skills transfer. Primitive 
    • Good understanding and problem solving skills of engine assembly processes   

     Ensure compliance to Plant, Corpoate, Government and Environmental standards (ISO 14001).

    • Liaise with Forward Planning and Manufacturing Engineering to co-ordinate changes affecting machining simultaneous engineering (support Manufacturing Engineering function).
    • Prepare Capital Investment Budget  projects for engineering projects identified.
    • Support Plant Information Center  process and develop action plans as required to investigate and prioritize quality concerns and verify corrective actions on internal processes and supplier process.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Qualification: National Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, or Trade tested tool maker with National Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
    • Good technical knowledge of metal cutting & engineering principles;
    • Understanding of production processes, including engine assembly;
    • Understanding of casting processes;
    • Excellent analytical, rhetorical and communication skills.
    • Proficient in MS Office and Autocad;
    • Accountable for correct implementation/ use of safety processes to ensure safety of plant personnel;
