    Process Superintendent

    Description

    • This position is responsible for the effective supervision of the entire process operations to ensure that all plant processes are operational, controlled and maintained according to client and organisational requirements.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure compliance with Minopex Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities.
    • Ensure that agreed targets are achieved in the areas of Plant availability, throughput and recovery.
    • Ensure adherence to Client quality requirements by monitoring laboratory feedback and ensuring the implementation of corrective measures.
    • Continuously monitoring the production process to ensure adherence to ISO and legislative standards /requirements.
    • Deploy process teams to ensure repair and maintenance in the shortest possible time.
    • Investigate, diagnose problems and breakdowns to prioritize resource requirements and order equipment and consumables according to company procedures.
    • Ensure adherence to Process Standards, Procedures and COP’s.
    • Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations and analyse breakdowns and implement corrective measures.
    • Co-ordinate and monitor equipment availability to ensure adherence to production parameters.
    • Continuously analyse equipment efficiencies to recommend or implement improvements and changes to maximise operations.
    • Communicate equipment information and changes to relevant stakeholders to minimise production delays.
    • Determine work schedules in conjunction with the Engineering / Process teams to ensure availability and optimise utilisation of equipment.
    • Perform administrative duties to ensure record accuracy and availability, and budget compliance.
    • Compile various production reports and ensure distribution according to organisational requirements.

    Qualification Requirements

    • Matric (Grade12) or equivalent qualification registered at NQF Level 4 , including relevant NATED qualifications such a the N3 Certificate  
    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering  
    • Relevant Business Management qualification will be an advantage.

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience and knowledge of plant operations of which at least 2 years must have been as a Plant Metallurgist  
    • DMS (Dense Media separation) will be advantageous

    System Support Analyst

    Description

    • This role will be responsible to carry out the SQL Software Developer functions and provide Solution & Database Support

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Solution Support
    • Contribute to the training and guidance of end-users
    • Contribute to the development of operational reports and data ingress pipelines
    • Interpret, write, and communicate applicable sections of User Requirement Specifications (URS)
    • Intermediate knowledge of information systems programming and system analysis
    • Troubleshooting, fault-finding and analysis on systems

    • The Lead: Software Development and Systems will lead a dynamic team of system developers, reporting analysts, and data engineers in driving the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of innovative data systems and solutions in the mineral processing space. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of various business systems across the organization, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration between departments, including close cooperation with the Data Science & ICT teams.

    • Lead and mentor a team of system developers, reporting analysts, and data engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
    • Drive the development and implementation of software solutions and data systems that support operational excellence in the mineral processing space.

    • Collaborate closely with other department leads, including Data Science and IT, to ensure seamless integration of systems and alignment with broader business objectives.

    Qualification Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • Postgraduate qualifications in systems development, data engineering, or project management will be advantageous.

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience in software development, systems engineering, or a similar role, with a strong focus on leading technical teams.
    • Experience in the mining or mineral processing industry is advantageous.
    • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., C#, Java) and database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, TimeScale).
    • Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-level business systems. This includes providing oversight and deployment/integration support to existing business systems across all departments.
    • Strong understanding of systems integration and the ability to oversee the development of reporting solutions.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, providing technical oversight and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
