    Senior Quantitative Analyst

    Job Purpose

    To develop and maintain best practice models and assessment strategies in line with regulations (where applicable) in order to facilitate world class risk management and/or attainment of strategic objectives.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Implement the financial crime analytics strategy across Group Risk

      • Build and establish a discipline of exceptional financial crime analytics, enabling stakeholders at making Nedbank world class at tackling financial crime

      • Use advanced analytics tools (such as machine learning, statistical techniques) to produce sustainable solutions to problems that the business needs to address.

      • Design, develop and implement data and analytics products that enable internal stakeholders to comply (i.e. improve compliance rate) to regulatory requirements and the bank’s policies.

    Manager: Credit Risk Reporting

    Job Purpose

    To report on key aspects of the credit portfolio covering origination, profitability, ongoing performance and collections across the Group. The incumbent will be required to provide oversight and contribute to the optimisation of the credit portfolio in line with Nedbank’s strategic objectives.

    Job Responsibilities

    • To provide accurate and insightful analysis and commentary on the credit portfolio across the Group, including business units and subsidiaries

    • Guide and support Internal (Senior management and the Board) and External Stakeholders (Regulators and the Investor Community) through formal and informal information sharing relating to credit origination, pricing, monitoring, risk migration, portfolio optimisation, collections etc.

    • Enable the compilation of reliable, accurate, relevant, insightful and timeous reports to relevant stakeholders 

    • Analysis of credit and risk data, including extraction, cleaning, and accuracy of data.

    • Application of advanced or best practice methods and techniques in the analysis and presentation of information. 

    • Ensure quality reports are produced and where necessary recommend improvements.

    • Build and maintain an effective working relationship with all stakeholders. Includes developing and expanding own knowledge of credit processes, policies and documentation and business strategies by attending formal credit meetings.

    • Drive reporting automation and process enhancements in line with the banks digitisation drive.

    • Participation and contribution to special projects to improve data, reporting standards, and system enhancements.

    • Assist with secretariat functions for the Group Credit Committee, Executive Credit Committee and other related committees and forums.

    • Planning and preparation of ad-hoc and special reports as and when required.

    Qualifications - NQF Level

    • Professional Qualifications/ Honour’s Degree - Essential 

    • Post graduate qualification in Risk Management, Accounting or Finance / CA (SA)

    Business Transformation Analyst

    Job Purpose

    To contribute towards business success by facilitating the on-boarding of automation solutions/Virtual Employees and facilitating the acceptance and integration of these solutions within the business client work environment.

    Job Responsibilities

    Facilitate the creation of the required physical and virtual environment for the automation solution within the clients business and facilitating the creating of the required access
    Ensure understanding of the operational requirement of the automation solutions at design stage
    Initiate all required applications for the procurement and/or allocation of hardware and software functionality
    Remain updated regarding any changes to operational requirements during the development process
    Initiate and facilitate the granting of the required system access for the automation solutions during Quality Assurance and Production phases
