    Accountant (Agrifriend)

    Key Responsibilities

    Financial & Operational Analysis and Reporting

    • Generate and analyse financial and management reports.
    • Capture and verify financial information with a focus on gross profit accuracy.
    • Monitor cost variances, perform trend and benchmark analysis, and explain financial deviations.
    • Conduct market research and comparisons, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
    • Provide financial training to business unit managers.

    Requirements

    • Experience in an agricultural, manufacturing, or operationally intensive environment is an advantage.
    • SAP knowledge is beneficial.
    • Strong understanding of financial principles and reporting.
    • Experience working with SAP and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

    Divisional Accountant (Hinterland)

    Responsibilities:

    Prepare and manage budgets / Forecasts

    • Gather historic financial information.

    Responsibilities:

    Analysis, design and procurement:

    • Gather all relevant site and problem statement information to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the project at hand.
    • Liaise with other disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Operations).

    Broker Assistant: Long Term Insurance (SS Wealth)

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:

    • Provide client with Disclosure notices, Letter of Authority and client information forms as needed per broker instruction and onboarding process prescribed by FAIS.
    • Submit data into compliance spreadsheet as needed for the relevant risk / investment analysis as per broker instruction.
    • Request client’s existing policy schedules within acceptable time frame to provide a policy summary of the client’s risk, investment and employee benefit products.
    • Compile analysis, quotations, policy summary documents and supporting fact sheets / pamphlets for presentation to the client.
    • Compile / Manage implementation task list of client needs and implementation to be done after financial analysis and consultation with the client.
    • Request quotes from insurers as per broker instructions.

    • Facilitate onboarding of risk / investment products (new business) taking care to guide the client through the process and to provide a seamless experience until policy documents are issued.
    • Facilitate alterations of existing business to address the client’s current needs as per broker instruction.

    • Assist in obtaining the necessary supporting documents from the client as needed for full FICA and FAIS compliance on the file.
    • Liase between the client, insurer and broker to make sure all implementations are finalised and followed through with due care, skill and diligence.
    • Complete new business registers according to company policy as new policy documents are issued.
    • Facilitate FAIS compliance by sending out compliance documents (as prepared by broker) and ensuring that signed advice documents are returned in time according to FAIS standards.
    • Renewals / Reviews: Compile and maintain a monthly review register of clients that need to be reviewed on a yearly basis as per broker instruction and company policy.
    • Compile review process documents as per company policy e.g.: Policy summary, birthdays etc.
    • Make appointments with clients for yearly review as per broker instruction.
    • Email yearly review letter as per broker instruction.
    • Facilitate review implementation instructions and effect any policy changes as per broker instruction.
    • Facilitate and implement ongoing policy changes as per client instructions, making sure to take care of FICA and FAIS compliance at all times. Eg: Beneficiary nominations, change of banking details etc.
    • Address client inquiries professionally and promptly via phone, email or in-person meetings.
    • Investigate and resolve client concerns or issues related to policies, claims, or general inquiries.
    • Resolve and address non – payments / missed premiums. Arrange and facilitate payments according to policy rules to maintain good retention on broker contracts.
    • Compile and assign commission reports according to company policy.
    • Maintain and restore client files according to company policy and FAIS / FICA compliance.
    • Assist in file audits as requested by Management / Key Individual to ensure FAIS / FICA compliance on client files.
    • Compile and Maintain register of client file implementations to be rectified / corrected according to FAIS / FICA compliance.

    Requirements

    • National Senior Certificate (FAIS RE 5 and any relevant Financial Planning Qualification will be an advantage)
    • 1-2 Years’ experience in the Long-Term Insurance and Investment environment.
