    Consultant: Network Engineer

    Purpose of the job:

    • To plan, implement, maintain and support Network infrastructure, Network expansions and co-ordinate integrated activities across multiple functional lines including third parties to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements signed by SITA.

    Key Responsibility Areas:

    • Plan and implement infrastructure
    • Oversee the maintenance of the network infrastructure
    • Perform incident management and attend to escalated requests by Network engineers to ensure that service level agreements are met
    • Supervision of staff.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Required Qualification: 3-Year National Diploma or Degree in IT related field (Computer Science, Information Technology/Engineering, BCom etc).
    • Certification: CCNA
    • Experience: 5 – 6 years practical experience in Wide Area Network (WAN), Network topology, Network Design, Application Layer and routing protocols.

    Technical Competencies:

    Executive: Strategy and Corporate Services

    Purpose of the job

    • To provide strategic and executive leadership for SITA's Strategy and Corporate Services portfolio by integrating the Strategy Office, Monitoring and Evaluation, Corporate Affairs, Facilities Management and Security Services, and Partnerships into a single accountable division. The role leads corporate strategy formulation, organisational performance monitoring, strategic reporting, stakeholder positioning, facilities and security enablement, and strategic partnerships to support organisational sustainability, service delivery, governance, reputation and execution of SITA's mandate. The role ensures that strategy is translated into measurable plans, performance is monitored and reported, corporate services are effectively coordinated, and partnerships are leveraged to strengthen organisational impact and government service delivery.

    Key Responsibility Areas

    • Lead corporate strategy development and execution alignment to ensure that SITA's strategic priorities, APP commitments and organisational performance objectives are clearly defined, integrated, monitored and delivered
    • Lead monitoring, evaluation and organisational performance reporting to strengthen accountability, evidencebased decision-making and timely intervention on underperformance
    • Provide executive leadership over Corporate Affairs to strengthen SITA's reputation, stakeholder positioning, communication coherence and public confidence
    • Lead Facilities Management and Security Services to ensure that SITA's physical work environment, facilities operations and security services enable business continuity, compliance, employee experience and organisational performance
    • Lead strategic partnerships to strengthen collaboration, innovation, capability development and organisational impact in support of SITA's mandate and digital transformation priorities
    • Lead and manage the Strategy and Corporate Services division to ensure effective divisional performance, people development, governance compliance, stakeholder alignment and delivery accountability.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in business management, Strategy, Public Administration, Commerce, Corporate Communication, Facilities Management, ICT or a relevant equivalent qualification at NQF Level 7.
    • Certification in strategy management, monitoring and evaluation, corporate governance, project/programme management, facilities management, security management, communication or stakeholder management will be advantageous.
    • Experience: 10+ years' relevant professional experience, including leadership responsibility in corporate strategy, organisational performance, monitoring and evaluation, corporate services, stakeholder management, facilities management or strategic partnerships.
    • At least 5 years' experience at a senior management or executive level in a complex service delivery environment.
    • Proven experience in leading strategy formulation, planning, performance monitoring, corporate reporting and cross-functional execution support.
    • Experience in corporate affairs, stakeholder positioning, reputation management, facilities and security services, or partnership development will be advantageous.
    • Experience in ICT, public sector, government, state-owned company or shared services environments will be advantageous.
    • Demonstrated ability to work with executives, governance structures, customers, partners and oversight stakeholders to improve organisational performance and strategic alignment.

    Software Developer

    Purpose of the job

    • To research, design, install, test and maintain and enhance software systems write and coding of individual programmes in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Government.

    Key Responsibility Areas

    • Develop/ Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency using SITAs software development stack/ development framework;
    • Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met;
    • Produce detailed specifications and writing the programme codes;
    • Maintain the integrated IT software components systems once they are up and running; and
    • Develop integrated technical service specifications for single or multiple software components to clearly set direction for procuring or building software components.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum: 3 years Diploma / Degree in ICT (Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology and Engineering) or related field.
    • Experience: 3 - 5 years’ experience with full software development lifecycle (SLDC), within systems development, implementation and maintenance / enhancements of solutions in the corporate sector organisation.

    Technical Competencies Description

    • Understanding of computer science including algorithms, data structures, operating systems and databases.
    • Understanding of the user requirement process. Understand various tools and techniques in identifying functional requirements of software. Knowledge of Governance e.g. Cobit and ITIL Knowledge of the software development process and its technologies Knowledge to design and develop test plans and software simulator to facilitate different levels of testing. Knowledge to report the results of different levels of testing report, the discrepancies between the software and its related documents. Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models. Understand the requirements for verification and validation of design documentations, verify and validate different levels of software/system design. Strong knowledge source control and version control tools like Endevor. Working knowledge of Waterfall Methodologies.Comprehensive Team-working experience.
    • Technical Competencies: Programming in COBOL/IMS for mainframe, MVS Operating system, JCL, utilisation of MS Office, Time management. Candidates with working experience on ERP Payroll systems will be given preference.

    • Knowledge of business development, marketing and client retention strategies
    • Knowledge and understanding of ICT technologies, legislation, policies and procedures and how they can be applied to improve service delivery.
    • Knowledge of PFMA and procurement procedures in Government.
    • Strategic business acumen.
    • Technical competencies: Strategic pricing and Market research.
    • Leadership competencies: Customer Experience; Negotiation; Communicating and Influencing; Outcomes driven
