    Regional Facilities Manager

    Role Description
    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct daily pre-trip inspections (fluids, tires, brakes, lights, etc.).
    • Adhere to traffic laws and company safety procedures.
    • Report accidents, incidents, and maintenance issues promptly.
    • Act as a brand ambassador on the road and at customer locations.

    • As a Regional Facilities Manager, you will oversee the facilities management and operational efficiency of six warehouses and 25 pods across Gauteng, Northwest, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga, with the possibility of an additional location being added. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, managing support staff, building strong supplier relationships, and improving resource efficiency. You will also need to be self-managed, disciplined, and able to work independently. Additionally, you will assist with logistics and special projects at branches, ensuring that all maintenance works run smoothly and effectively.

    Responsibilities:

    Warehouse Management:

    • Oversee Facilities management for six warehouses in Silver Lakes, Montana, Witbank, Nelspruit, Polokwane, Rustenburg and possibly more as the company expands.
    • Conduct daily visits to branches and pods to ensure smooth and operational facilities

    Compliance and Safety:

    • Ensure all branches comply with Health & Safety regulations, security protocols, and insurance requirements.
    • Perform regular audits on warehouse inspection files and registers and report on findings daily / regularly on positive or negative issues.

    Team Coordination:

    • Conduct regular catch-up meetings with warehouse managers to review performance and address issues.
    • Assist with special projects at coastal branches.

    Support Staff Management:

    • Engage with support staff, ensuring they are well-managed and provided with the correct and presentable uniforms.

    Supplier Relations:

    • Source and build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and efficiency and cost saving methods.

    Resource Efficiency:

    • Monitor and improve the efficiency of building electricity and water usage, providing recommendations for enhancements.

    Pod Management:

    • Oversee operations for 25 pods across Gauteng, Northwest, Limpopo and Mpumalanga, with the possibility of an additional location being added.

    Logistics Support:

    • Assist with logistics as needed to ensure effective operations.

    Role Requirements

    • Minimum Grade 12.
    • A minimum of 2-4 year's facilities management experience.
    • A relevant management qualification will be beneficial.

    • Report and investigate on vehicle accidents, theft, abuse or misuse.
    • Ensure first aiders, fire marshals and safety reps training are valid and updated as required
    • Ensure drivers is always disciplined and drive in safely manner
    • Ensure drivers licenses validity and each driver to be tested to warehouse manager’s discretion
    • Keep safety file up to date
    • Check company website regularly for quality of pictures
    • Ensure suppliers payments is done quick and effectively
    • Ensure stock keeping is kept on stickers used for vehicles and report weekly / monthly as required. (Key barcode, Car Barcode, Window stickers, Inspection Stickers)
    • Open and close warehouse as and when required
