    National Key Account Manager Modern Trade - Bryanston

    ABOUT THE JOB

    To grow Invoiced Sales, Net Sales & Volume in line with BU objectives in selected portfolio of Customer through development and execution of appropriate sales strategies, leadership of accounts and team work across all key interfaces

    ABOUT YOU

    CUSTOMER / SHOPPER UNDERSTANDING & INSIGHTS

    • Analyzes all relevant information and identifies opportunities in line with Shopper by Customer
    • Assesses Customer Shopper Missions and puts forward recommendations to drive Promotional Plan
    • Understands the Shopper missions and aligns instore execution opportunities with CP&I

    CATEGORY GROWTH SPACES & SELLING STORY DEVELOPMENT

    • Uses data on Category / Segment Performance to assess the Category within the Customer (Nielsens)
    • Uses internal Growth Spaces in building the customer proposition alignment
    • Uses simple analytical tools to build Range & Merchandising recommendations – MSL by Cluster
    • Insights Knowledge (Spar Specific) to leverage against opportunities.

    PROFITABLE REVENUE GROWTH MANAGEMENT

    • Post Analysis of promotion against identified ROI% and CO% requirements
    • Price indexing versus Competitors across different segments
    • Analyzes and tracks investments within Customer against SKU and gives input into MIX/Pricing/Promotion
    • Full P&L understanding – know which triggers to use to influence outcome
    • Adherence to PRGM principles and guidelines

    CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT

    • Owns the Customer Relationship at a National Key Account Level and across Region
    • Prepares Customer Reviews for Discussion Monthly and Review, using insights to drive growth
    • Uses Customer specific data / Category & Shopper data as inputs
    • Prepares for each important negotiation, identifying ‘Must Gets’, ‘Wish List’ and ‘Concessions’
    • Manages all Pricing (Externally and Internally) in line with process – Tally Accrual Process
    • Managing the Customers Budgeted Spend Process in TTM in line with policy
    • Co-ordinate trading term proposals in line with process
    • Captures claims within TTM
    • Manages events and implements projects efficiently – Trade Shows / Customer Events
    • Developing briefing docs for Sales force/Agent execution
    • NPD – All PDF’s; Prop Docs; Listing Trackers; Trade Presenters

    DRIVING CUSTOMER PORTAL

    • Understands and monitors Customer on line sites and recommends changes (Graphic Content relevant)
    • Full Logistic / Supply Chain Portal Management (Demand Planning/CSL/Monthly Scorecard/Range and Pricing – Woolworths
    • Leads any CSL issues and highlights to business

    SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT & REPORTING

    • Manage Customer Portal Interface (where applicable)
    • Monitor SOH / Sales Out Data / CSL / Distribution / Pricing
    • Captures all Pricing Deals in both Internal and Customer Systems
    • Demand Management Ownership – Monthly alignment on Rolling forecast in line with expected Volume sales M-1 at a 85% Forecast Bias Accuracy.

    ESSENTIAL LEVEL FOR THE JOB

    • 3-year suitable degree
    • 5 years National Account Management experience preferable within Spar or within a commercial environment, 3 years previous Field Sales experience dealing with Key Accounts a must.

    Senior Brand Manager

    ABOUT THE JOB

    To be responsible for a key brand for Danone South Africa. The measure of success will be the ability to manage this brand end-to-end, with minimal support from the Marketing Manager, whilst meeting targets and ensuring innovation pipeline that is launched OTIF and is accretive to the business.

    Planning and Strategy

    • Fully owns and is accountable for the brand’s performance and contribution to Danone South Africa’s results
    • Has complete ownership of the brand, planning and implementation required to achieve the targets and intentions of the brand
    • Fully own the below activities, with Marketing Manager alignment:
    • ATL strategy – Creative and Media
    • BTL strategy – in-store activity to drive awareness / visibility / conversion
    • Innovation, extensions and renovation
    • Understand all levers on P&L to drive profitability of the brands and portfolio
    • Understand all data sets (sales in; sales out; consumer know-how; trends and growth platforms) to derive clear insights and “so what” action-oriented recommendations
    • Use consumer understanding and brand knowledge to uncover a powerful tension which the brand can take a stand on and therefore answer a consumer need for
    • Be able to understand and process new information
    • Provide solutions that have been critically thought-through
    • Own and drive annual Brand Plan development and excellent execution, thereof

    • Able to critically assess if creative executions are right for Brand and portfolio, and whether the creative will effectively contribute to the critical KPIs needed for growth
    • Have Media know-how and able to co-create strong Media plans with S&I and Media Agency
    • Be able to critically evaluate overall Media Plans and KPIs presented by Media Agency

    • Understands the digital journey a consumer could follow and builds a strong digital media plan across priorities channels

    Business Controller: Logistics & Overheads

    ABOUT THE JOB

    Main responsibility: will be to ensure compliant financial/management reporting and controls of Logistics costs in capacity as Logistics Controller.  Further, you will be responsible for controlling of the Sales Force & Overheads budgets for the entire organization. This involves partnering EXCO members on budget management & savings programs with a great deal of reporting on specific areas within overheads.

    KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

    • Provide financial support to the Logistics Operations team as well as EXCO members on overheads management.
    • Analyse the logistics costs in the full financial cycle (Actual & Forecast) and prepare and present monthly management reports for internal stakeholders (i.e. LCT and Market updates etc.).  Providing insight into what is driving the numbers.
    • Weekly tracking and animation of numbers in comparison to forecasted numbers with clear view on Risks and opportunities.
    • Manage cost accounting responsibilities including month end close. Perform variance analysis and report preparation.
    • Support performance animation through Rolling forecast process, risks and opportunities management
    • Ensure completeness, accuracy and timely delivery of Rolling forecast.
    • Present the Rolling Forecast to Financial Director monthly.
    • Ensure correct allocation of Logistics cost to sku/customer level in reporting tools (Essbase) in support of correct business decisions/strategies with a clear understanding of cost drivers and how to influence.
    • Participation in Productivity projects together with the Logistics Departments & FP&A team to analyze, and verify savings generated by Productivity Projects
    • Complete AdHoc financial and scenario analysis
    • Develop tools and processes enhancing efficiency and accuracy of reporting for performance indicators (partner with IT)
    • End to end FG stock management including business process, systems, automation and control management incl. challenging & improving stock count procedures and accountability measurement with 3PL
    • Management of the processes and controls around overheads spend & reporting.
    • Structuring and developing various financial models to supporting decision making.

    ABOUT YOU

    Qualification(s):

    • B Com Degree with minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
    • CIMA/CA(SA) qualified would be an added advantage.

    Experience and Skills:

    • Sound SAP experience an advantage.
    • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, controls, and procedures
    • Ability to manage month and year end closing.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • At least 5 years’ experience as a Business Controller/Business Planning/Financial Manager. 
    • Should ideally have worked for a multinational company.
