    Sales Representative- (Based in Kyalami) (Hay Level 14/C3)

    Key Performance Areas   

    Sales

    • Achieve set annual sales targets and increase revenue and market share.
    • Travel to defined geographies to sell life science products.
    • Achieve the required number customer visits. 
    • Build and manage relationships between AEC-Amersham and customers and/or relevant suppliers.
    • Provide training, technical support and after sales service to customers on an ongoing basis.
    • Meet and exceed customer expectations.
    • Provide competitive information such as product specifications, pricing data, or bundling arrangements to establish negotiated pricing contracts for assigned products. 
    • Perform product demonstrations, installations, and application support.
    • Improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
    • Identifies the need for new products.
    • Identify new clients and opportunities within existing business environment.
    • Prepare quotations and ensure follow-up.
    • Complete and submit tenders accurately.
    • Monitor sales/backorders of products.
    • Identify and manage exhibitions and congresses.
    • Assist with sales support to branches.

    Marketing

    • Be able to conduct research to identify competitors, their product strategies, future requirements of the market, market trends and identify areas of potential sales successes (Competitor Analysis)
    • Introduce and manage marketing strategies for present and future product ranges (under supervision)
    • Identify and manage exhibitions and congresses with management and support staff
    • Identify advertising and promotional requirements for AEC-Amersham
    • Ensure availability of marketing and sample material with the assistance of the internal sales support staff
    • Provide input on proposed special offers to Sales Manager to drive sales in a specific area
    • Compile Marketing Plans when new products are launched (under supervision)

    Stakeholder relations

    • Update suppliers’/customers’ contact details.
    • Assist with sales support to branches.
    • Attend and participate in sales meetings.
    • Ensure that applicable queries are escalated to suppliers when necessary.
    • Build on relationships with principals to ensure support channels are present when required.
    • Use initiative to liaise effectively with all stakeholders.

    Administration

    • Prepare quotations.
    • Submit quotations/pro-forma invoices within 24 hours of request (under supervision if need be)
    • Follow-up on quotations/pro-forma invoices.
    • Complete tenders accurately and submit prior to deadlines.
    • Submit reports to Sales Manager.
    • Hybrid position and must have facility to accommodate this.
    • Provide sales forecast
    • Update SAP Activities post customer visits or important telephone calls.
    • Update Outlook Electronic Calendar and Activity reports daily
    • Manage conflict/complaints in an effective and professional manner
    • Create and share knowledge base with colleagues and customers
    • Relevant problem-solving skills within working environment
    • Input on price list updates

    Compliance

    • Attend compulsory SHEQ meetings.
    • Adhere to company’s SOPs

    Job Requirements:

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:  

    • Diploma/Degree in the respective sector, preferably in the Life Science/ Laboratory Field, Biomedical Technology/BSC / experience in the relevant field.  
    • 3-5 years’ experience in life sciences/medical sales environment.
    • Computer literate.

    Internal Sales Coordinator (Based in Kyalami) (Hay Level 12/C1)

    Key Performance Areas:  

    Prepare and manage sales documents

    • Check and confirm stock availability in warehouse with supporting teams.
    • Prepare Pro-forma Invoice for cash customers: invoice customer for goods that they will receive in advance so that they pay prior to collection of the product.
    • Extrapolate SAP data to support the Sales Manager/ Sales Team with monthly reports.
    • Prepare quotations for customers on request and follow-up.
    • Compile quotations/RFQ’s/Tenders for current and prospective customers by utilising the GP calculator, landed costs and budgeted GP’s.
    • Submit RFQ’s, quotations and tenders before closing dates.
    • Maintain comprehensive database and calculate monthly conversion rate.
    • Obtain freight prices from Logistics Company for delivery if customer is outside of Gauteng.
    • Responsible for updating Supplier and Customer price list.
    • Responsible for updating Supplier and Customer contact database.
    • Maintain the electronic filing system on shared drive.
    • Identify new clients and opportunities within the applicable environments.
    • Attend in-house training of current and new product ranges.
    • Assist with organising events, congresses, workshops, academic days and product launches.
    • Attend and participates in sales meetings and take minutes.
    • Assist with tender and vendor form completion, dissemination and filing.
    • Customer complaints handling.
    • Ability to work within tight timelines and manage emergency issues in a mature manner.
    • Control and distribution of catalogues and corporate gifts, minimum levels to be maintained
    • Medikredit – registering new nappi codes, price changes and valid Section 21’s Customer Satisfaction Surveys.
    • Collect weekly territory planners on Mondays and match with customer visit reports.
    • Keep record of all submissions for performance evaluations.

    Management of customer relations

    • Follow-up on customer enquiries and problems regarding products, orders, tenders.
    • Advise customers of order delays and/or suggest possible alternatives where necessary.
    • Assist with complaints and follow-up procedures.

    Office Support

    • General correspondence, emails, filing, phone support/messages.         
    • Monitor “support” mailbox and sales representatives’ emails when they are on leave. 
    • Forward quotation requests to relevant sales personnel.
    • Forward any email of interest/value to relevant staff members.

    Requirements

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:  

    • Matric + preferably a three-year Business administration degree or equivalent.
    • Customer service background.
    • Computer literacy – MS Office, and SAP.
    • 1-2 years’ experience in internal sales.
    • At least 3 years’ experience in sales of radiopharmaceutical products will be an added advantage.

    Chemical Plant Operator (Hay Level 9/B2)

    Key Performance Areas

    Production 

    • Operate the plant in line with approved work instructions,guidelines and management directives.
    • Assist in updating of work instructions.
    • Monitor process trends and SPC data to ensure the production process is within operating parameters and do corrections accordingly.
    • Report all operating defects to the Shift Foreman / Supervisor.
    • Generate the operational report and communicate effectively to relevant parties.
    • Monitor stock levels to ensure that the inventory is kept up to date and suitable for meeting production target and goals agreed on.
    • Do job observation on work instructions.

    Requirements

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Minimum Qualification Requirements: Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical science; NQF level 4 in plant operations will be advantageous
    • Minimum Experience: Three (3) years’ experience in a 24-hour chemical plant operation will be advantageous.
