    MW Digital Designer (Cape Town CBD)

    Role Summary:

    We are looking for a passionate Digital Designer with retail client experience, someone with the skill set to capture promotional excitement and breakthrough designs for a national retail client.  The successful applicant will be tasked to carry visual and conceptual skills from initial brief to final artwork.

    Our ideal candidate must have a keen eye for little and big details, work extremely well under pressure with quick deadlines, high work volume and demanding pitches. We want someone who is resourceful, a self-starter and a conceptual thinker. If you are all of the above and then some, have great communication skills, exceptional lay-out skills; know a thing or two about Digital Design in an Agency environment and plays well with others – we want to see your portfolio.

    Job scope includes but is not limited to:

    • Working in a team under the leadership of a Group Head and Creative Director to conceptualize and execute campaigns based on both client and internal briefs.
    • Present work imaginatively and confidently to clients and senior creatives.
    • Be skilled in design and conceptualization.
    • Maintain exceptionally high standards for execution and attention to detail.
    • Collaborate and communicate well with the team and other departments.
    • Have an eternally positive disposition especially when the going gets rough.

    Requirements

    Minimum relevant experience and skills/attributes required:

    • Relevant tertiary qualification
    • At least 2 years’ experience as a Digital Designer  in a large/integrated Advertising Agency
    • At least 2 years’ previous experience in a high-volume environment
    • Demonstrated experience with social media design across various social media platforms.
    • Strong skills in design software such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator non-negotiable
    • Experience in digital and experiential advertising advantageous.
    • Experience with Figma and After Effects advantageous.
    • Strong interpersonal skills; a team player, persuasive negotiator, positive and innovative thinker
    • Maintain high standards for execution and attention to detail.
    • Highly motivated and a high level of initiative; ability to work independently, in support of the agency’s creative goals and the client’s business objectives.

    Senior Conceptual & Digital Copywriter (Cape Town CBD)

    RoleSummary:

    We have an opportunity for a Senior Copywriter who is passionate about conceptual thinking and eager to make an impact within our agency. We want a dedicated Conceptual Digital Copywriter who is versatile and has an in-depth understanding and insight into different markets and what makes the consumer tick. You’ll be working with our digital and ATL team and will play a key role as the partner with our creative director on a wide range of projects.

    We’re looking for someone who is adept at conceptualising and implementing innovative digital led and ATL campaigns. The successful applicant has proven cut-throat writing skills working on a large national retail brand, is able to work across various target markets, platforms and channels, has proven understanding of retail and brands, keeps a cool head and delivers exceptional results under pressure; against fast and tight deadlines and in volume. Our ideal candidate is able to work collaboratively in a team and is resourceful; focused and level-headed.

    Summary of main duties:

    • Translate the brief and the strategic requirements into a compelling creative solution
    • Presentation of work to the Creative Group Head and/or Creative Director
    • Be the custodian and creator of the copy, tone and language style of the Client's brand
    • Together with an Art Director, generate effective, innovative and compelling creative concepts for individual ads or campaigns based on sound strategies
    • Pro-actively identify creative digital trends and opportunities
    • Direct and produce effective, impactful and compelling advertising that reflects insight into the task, the brand and the target market
    • Take ownership of your tasks and actively manage the creative process to progress towards deadline

    Requirements

    • Relevant years’ conceptual digital copywriting experience within an advertising agency
    • Strong conceptual ability
    • Advanced brand copywriting
    • Attention to detail
    • A solid portfolio that reflects creative copywriting proficiencies – both ATL and Digital work
    • Understanding of advertising as a selling tool  
    • Capability to take on campaigns with multi-element tasks which require a concept and a thought through process

    • Finely honed copywriting skills and latest techniques

    • Consistently produce creative elements against a deliverables list

    Qualifications required:

    • Relevant degree/diploma
    • Be proficient in PowerPoint/Keynote, MS Word
