    Store Supervisor - Colesberg

    Main purpose of the position:

    Correct control of stock, supervision of store staff and delivery of prompt and good customer service.

    Minimum Requirements:        

    • Grade 12;
    • 2 – 3 years experience in store environment;
    • Valid drivers license.

    Skills:

    • Sound communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English;
    • Natural ability to successfully function in a competitive agricultural environment;
    • Administration;
    • Inventory management;
    • Marketing;
    • Computer literate (MS Office).

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervision of store staff;
    • Promote market share;
    • Control theft and inventory;
    • Maintaining administration;
    • Asset management.

    Grain Procurer - Hopetown

    Core purpose of the position:

    To increase the market share of the OVK Group through the procurement of grain and maintaining service delivery to current and future clients outside the geographical area of OVK.

    Requirements:

    • Appropriate B-degree in marketing will be an advantage;
    • 2 years experience in grain marketing;
    • Registered SAFEX Trader with SAIFM will be an advantage;
    • Valid drivers license.

    Skills:

    • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Excel;
    • Strong customer service orientation;
    • Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans;
    • Excellent numerical skills;
    • Strong sales and marketing skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Service producers in the allocated area;
    • Manage safex clients and options;
    • Management of administration and targets;
    • Logistical planning for clients;
    • Portfolio management for clients on safex positions and marketing strategies.

    Grain Grader - Modderpoort

    Main purpose of the position:

    To provide support to the Silo Manager with regards to the operation of the Silo and determining the grade of commodities (grain) in a fair and ethical manner.

    Minimum Requirements:             

    • Grade 12;
    • 2 years relevant experience;
    • Grain Grading courses successfully completed;
    • Valid driver’s license.

    Skills:

    • Sound communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English;
    • Computer literate (MS Office);
    • Experience in food safety an added advantage;
    • Good interpersonal skills;
    • Strong physical health in order to do the work (to be able to climb the Silo etc);
    • Strong administrative skills;
    • Must be prepared to work long hours.

    Responsibilities:

    • Grading of commodities (Grain);
    • Control over stock;
    • Comply with food safety and occupational safety standards;
    • Completion of administration.

    IT Learner Programmer - Ladybrand

    Main purpose of the position:

    The writing and maintaining of programmes and systems for the OVK Group.

    Minimum requirements:

    • A tertiary qualification in IT software development or in the final phase of studying towards a tertiary qualification in IT software development or Grade 12 with 3 years practical experience in IT software development.

    Skills:

    • Sound communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English;
    • Exceptional computer literacy;
    • Strong numerical ability;
    • Strong organisational skills;
    • Must be able to work under pressure;
    • Must be able to maintain confidentiality;
    • Excellent people skills and the ability to function in a team;
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Writing and maintenance of IT programmes and systems;
    • Delivery of IT related services to management and the OVK Group;
    • Maintenance of relevant administration.

    Main purpose of the position:

    • To identify and investigate controls and business risks in cooperation with management and implementing affirmative procedures.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • B. Com Accounting or equivalent with articles completed and 3 years’ experience;
    • Previous experience as an accountant within a motor dealership will be an advantage.

    Skills:

    • Sound communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English;
    • Computer literate (MS Office);
    • Good numerical ability;
    • Accounting Insight;
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify problem areas, recommend procedures to rectify, implement systems and procedures for the corrections.
    • Compilation of value added reports to support operations.
    • Daily financial responsibilities and control management.
    • Provide support to management with the preparation of the annual financial statements where applicable.

    • Continuous updating of staff and salary administration / data on the Sage people system;
    • Processing of monthly imports and controls;
