    Buyer

    Description:

    • As a Buyer (Small and Large Appliances) you will contribute to the continued growth of the Division as Merchandise Buyer for Pepkor Lifestyle within the Group Merchandise department.
    • Your primary accountability is to build balanced range assortments throughout the category for the various brands in the Division.

    Key Requirements:

    • Use internal and external trend sources to confidently compile and present quarterly product statistics, range reviews and post seasonal to retail heads, supported by sales, customer and trend data.
    • Manage the product process from design, briefing and development to go live on site.
    • Develop exit strategies for discontinued products/ ranges, whilst preserving overall margin. 
    • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to negotiate best price, great value offers and exclusive stock in line with company strategy.
    • Using source of supply to develop products based on global trends in line with department strategy to produce world class, balanced, locally relevant furniture & accessories.
    • Ensure critical path timelines are adhered to. Be proactive in flagging potential stock and delivery shortfalls.
    • Compile weekly trade feedback reports through consistent analysis and interpretation of data that show how you will trade your range in-season to drive sell-through and reduce markdown.
    • Work alongside Suppliers to ensure product quality is in line with the Divisions standards.
    • Support the Marketing & Operations teams in delivering a world-class customer experience in product delivery & service.
    • Manage and mentor Planners within your team, creating a cohesive, results driven environment to support optimal performance and personal development.
    • Be proactive and innovative in all areas of your role to ensure maximum efficiency is achieved.
    • Matric (grade 12).
    • Relevant Diploma or Degree in Fashion, Marketing, Design, BsC or BComm.
    • 5- 8 years’ experience in retail and more specifically within furniture or related industry.
    • Demonstrated buying record of accomplishment.
    • Competency in MS Office packages specifically in Excel.
    • Deep knowledge and understanding of retail maths.
    • Proven ability in analytical & logical interpretation of data.

    Junior Buyer

    About the Role

    • As a Junior Buyer, you'll be a key player in ensuring our company's operational needs are met. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, from maintaining data and managing inventory to optimizing supplier relationships and supporting marketing efforts. Your work will directly contribute to our ability to deliver quality, cost-effective products to our customers in a timely manner1.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Data and Inventory Management: You'll handle everything from listing new products and delisting old ones to managing pricing and stock conditions. You'll also use systems like SAP and Akeneo to generate and analyse sales and stock reports.
    • Supplier and Merchandising Support: You'll assist in negotiating supplier returns , managing your portfolio's finances, and contributing to monthly turnover and profit budgets. You'll also help identify new products and suppliers to increase our competitiveness.
    • Marketing and Promotions: You'll be involved in market and competitor analysis, ensuring advertising briefs are submitted on time, and monitoring prices to ensure they are market-related.
    • Teamwork and Self-Management: We're looking for someone who can work well with others, maintain a professional image, meet deadlines, and consistently deliver high-quality work. You will also visit stores to gather feedback and support our customer-centric culture.

    Qualification

    • Matric is required, and a Diploma or degree in Buying, Procurement, or Business would be a significant advantage.

    Knowledge & Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of MS Office, SAP, and Akeneo.
    • High attention to detail, with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
    • A broad understanding of a business operating model and basic supply chain knowledge.
    • Competence in retail accounting and an understanding of the retail market, including competitors.
    • Strong financial, analytical, and presentation skills.
    • Someone with a "can-do" attitude, drive, energy, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.

    Monitoring Engineer

    Job Purpose

    • The Monitoring Engineer is responsible for providing 2nd line support and escalations based on the results from the monitoring of the Pepkor Lifestyle IT estate to ensure service level targets are achieved on a 24 x 7 basis. The Monitoring engineer is responsible to monitor business critical systems to ensure system uptime.

    Key Dials

    • Provide 2nd line monitoring support and participate in the incident, problem, change, request and event management processes.
    • Monitor business critical systems to ensure system uptime and tradability.
    • Produce reporting in a timely manner and aligned to the agreed communications plan for all relevant stakeholders.
    • Contribute to a continuous improvement plan and initiatives to support collaboration within the organisation.
    • Effectively manage and develop self to deliver on agreed individual and team objectives.

    Minimum qualification and Experience

    • IT Related Diploma
    • 3 year IT related degree (advantageous)
    • Certified in ITIL 3 (required)
    • Relevant technical certifications combined with 2+ years experience in one or more of the following: database administration, retail/POS systems support, LAN, WAN, SQL, Windows server and desktop support
    • 3+ years experience in a service / support portfolio and continuity management, including configuration, deployment and release management
    • 3+ years experience in SAP application support
    • Stakeholder management
    • SLA management
    • Knowledge of SAP retail applications
    • Knowledge of SQL, Windows server and desktop
    • Knowledge of LAN, WAN and Server environments 
    • Knowledge and application of relevant IT best practice.

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fleet controller to Coordinate and execute fleet management practices, policies and procedures to provide a fleet of roadworthy vehicles to the Service Centre.

    Training Administrator

    About the Role

    • We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Training Administrator to join our team. The Training Administrator will be responsible for coordinating, organizing, and tracking all training programs and initiatives within the organization. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and exceptional communication abilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    Your core focus areas will include:

    • Program Coordination & Support: Schedule training sessions, collaborate with the Team Lead and trainers, and ensure the seamless execution of learning events.

    • Teamwork & Self-Management: Take ownership of your workflow, maintain high professional standards, and collaborate actively to meet team objectives.

    What We Are Looking For

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (NQF Level 6).
    • At least 2 years of experience working within a training or Human Resources environment.

    Knowledge & Technical Skills:

    • A solid understanding of training and development processes, methodologies, and tools.
    • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, and Gmail).
    • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and training databases (experience with Axonify is a major plus!).
    • Basic understanding of training needs analysis (TNA) and assessment.
