    Technical Support Specialist - Senior

    Description

    • Provides technical support and training to clients after the sale of the product; troubleshoots technical problems. May provide technical training to customer's staff. Recommends product improvements to design staff in response to customer feedback.

    Field Service Tech

    Description

    We are looking for a talented FIELD SERVICE TECH to join our team specializing in SERVICE for our DISTRIBUTION BUSINESS SEGMENT in JOHANNESBURG , GAUTENG , SOUTH AFRICA .

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :

    • Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to engines at the customer’s site.
    • Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
    • Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engine and related components in the field.
    • Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.

    • Technical Escalation - Obtains product technical issue information and utilizes available resources including data management tools; elevates issues to a higher level of expertise, balancing timeliness of customer feedback with investigation efforts; captures all troubleshooting steps in the appropriate database in order to ensure seamless transitions and accurately reply to ticket resolution in a timely manner.

    • Certified Diesel Mechanic/Millwright/Diesel Fitter.
    • Power Generation experience an added advantage.
    • Experience in working with High Horse Power Engines, HMLD.
