    Quality Enablement - Project Manager

    Overall objective of the role

    To support and report directly to the Quality Enablement Leader on all quality initiatives, with extensive focus on monitoring activities.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Take lead in all administrative aspects for the QEL department and provide support to the QEL including setting up of meetings, taking minutes and tracking and communicating actions.
    • Act as an administrator on the QEL Sharepoint site.
    • Assist in preparing slides for the Q&RB meetings, Quality Deep dives and monthly QEL network calls.
    • Extraction of data and reports across various firm databases including Mercury, Canvas, PACE, Consultation system etc. as well as data analyses and interpretation for reporting purposes.
    • Assist the Senior Project manager with collating information for the manager and partner quality performance process.
    • Manage and monitor the Executive involvement mainstream project.
    • Execute some aspects of, manage and monitor the AQI (Audit Quality indicators) mainstream project.
    • Manage and monitor the Monthly QEL monitoring mainstream project.
    • Assist the Senior Project manager with operational matters relating to Manager Peer Review, Global Coaching and Hot File reviews.
    • The Role is expected to constantly change as quality processes become evolve.

    Actuarial Manager - Johannesburg / Cape Town

    Your key responsibilities

    • Managing IFRS 17 and Solvency Assessment and Management actuarial audits for life or non-life insurers
    • Supporting the Head of Actuarial Function and managing HAF engagements for life or non-life insurers and reinsurers
    • Managing/supporting on engagements covering Transformation, Climate Change, ERM frameworks, ORSA, Risk Appetite or other topics
    • Managing/supporting on value-adding projects covering IFRS17 implementation and other topics related to trends in the actuarial field
    • Further developing our team by coaching and mentoring junior colleagues
    • Continually learning and sharing your knowledge with the wider actuarial team

    Skills and attributes for success

    • 3.5+ years’ experience in the Life or Non-Life Insurance industry
    • FASSA, preferably with specialisation in life or non-life
    • Managerial experience would be advantageous
    • Strong self-management and structured in the way they work
    • Team player and proactive, self-starter
    • Experience in financial reporting (SAM/Solvency II and IFRS) preferential
    • Consulting experience would be advantageous
    • Critical thinker and solution-orientated approach
    • Curious mindset and keenness to learn

    Experienced Manager - Quality Enablement

    Roles and responsibilities:

    • Execute KFR reviews and coach small / medium non-integrated listed clients.
    • Contribute to the expansion of a high-performing KFR team that promotes audit quality in the region
    • Identify quality inspection themes and benchmark against AQR, GDS reviews and inspection findings
    • Integrate and facilitate Project Management of QEL initiatives (incl. Canvas Milestones, Archiving, Project Insights, Quality Key Performance Indicators, Partner Workload, pro-active risk monitoring etc.) for engagements under the KFR program
    • Project manage KFR program including assignment and oversight of reviews performed by Managers, provide inputs on scoping of the review, trouble shoot technical queries. Mentor and guide junior team members.
    • Promote knowledge sharing, coaching and development of best practises between engagements and peers.
    • Provide where required AQR support and participate in root cause analysis of process for engagements that are part of the KFR process.

    Required skills & experiences:

    • Experienced Manager with client facing experience of large listed clients.
    • Strong desire to help and collaborate with the teams and leadership to enhance quality
    • Strong coaching skills in working with audit teams
    • Strong risk management skills
    • Demonstrates commitment in executing key audit quality initiatives
    • Integrity and objectivity; courage to raise concerns 
    • Expert EY GAM knowledge
    • Strong inter-personal skills, communication and presentation skills.
    • Experience of having faced IRBA / AQR inspections / Regulatory is preferred.
    • Ability to lead the resolution of more complex inspections and issues on a timely basis
    • Ability to identify and manage potential conflict
    • Strong people and teaming skills; demonstrates commitment to the firm’s diversity and inclusiveness efforts
    • Strong communications and project management skills

    Client Technology Sourcing Assistant Director 1

    Responsibilities

    The Technology Sourcing Assistant Director reports into a Client Technology Sourcing Leader within the Technology Sourcing team and is responsible for sourcing strategy and execution, customer engagement and experience, and vendor management in line with the Global Procurement Policy and processes. 

    The role of the Technology Sourcing Assistant Director may include: 

    • Responsibility as a senior individual contributor on a Client Technology Sourcing team aligned to one or more service lines as well as client serving business units.
    • Act as an individual contributor and trusted business advisor - managing multiple complex transactions directly or indirectly and working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver successful results. 
    • As the Africa Technology Sourcing Liaison, you will be responsible for managing the following:
    • Increasing Technology Spend Under Management for the Arica region.
    • Valued contribution to the EY BBBEE program.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key Africa Executives and Stakeholders,
    • Managing critical sourcing projects for the Africa region.
    • Working closely with risk management business partners to minimize contractual risks to the firm whilst demonstrating year on year improvement in value for money. 
    • Partnering with GCO (legal) to lead key negotiations and reporting on the quantitative and brand value delivered. 
    • Effectively build a pipeline of deals and develop the appropriate resourcing plans. 
    • Supporting improvement in processes, policy, systems, management information and reporting.
    • Successfully leading negotiations for global and regional deals meeting the timelines, scope, and requirements agreed with key stakeholders. 
    • Working with senior EYT and Service Line stakeholders to help develop a category strategy which supports the overall global technology strategy. 

    Skills and attributes for success

    • Strong experience with senior stakeholder management with the ability to collaboratively co-develop strategies and set and manage expectations.
    • Heavy experience with negotiating contracts related to software licensing & rationalization, cloud based solutions and professional services
    • Heavy experience with negotiating contracts globally and regionally.
    • Experience of managing complex service agreements both from the commercial and service delivery side
    • Experience of working in a Sourcing/Procurement/Vendor Management team in a complex and global environment
    • Experience working in an IT role as part of delivering technology solutions is a plus
    • Strong influencing and networking skills as the organization relies on working in cross functional teams across borders
    • Good knowledge of the IT vendors and new technologies is important to successfully work with the EYT teams
    • Strong communication skills required; must have the ability communicate in English effectively, transparently, and timely across multiple mediums (email, voice, IM, etc) in a global environment
    • The ability to independently manage and prioritize workload
    • Strong organizational skills 
    • Demonstrate a positive attitude and have an appetite for change
    • Provide high level of Exceptional Client Service
    • Education
    • Business degree or equivalent.
    • CPM (US), CIPS (UK) or similar Procurement certification is welcomed but not essential
    • Other requirements:
    • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills in business English
    • Experience working in a truly global, culturally diverse organization
    • Advanced knowledge of Project, PowerPoint, and Excel
    • Flexibility to work UK/US hours
