    Lecturer (Bachelor of Information Technology) - Polokwane

    Job Purpose:

    To teach/lecture allocated modules. To engage and prepare students for assessments by tracking module pacers, identifying and supporting at risk students, managing general student administrative support, and developing assessments by engaging with the Central Academic Team. Assisting the Programme Coordinator in tracking and analysing of academic results to evaluate the performance of the module and to identify “at risk modules”.

    Job Purpose:

    The Brand Ambassador is accountable for supporting the campus during the student registration cycle.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Develop the three-year strategic plan for the campus in conjunction with the RC Manco team (Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, HR, and Graduate Placement)

    Teaching Experience Co-ordinator

    Job Purpose:

    To manage student placements for school-based work-integrated learning (WIL) (Teaching Experience) across all qualifications within the School of Education on the identified campus/es.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Building partnerships with schools to source and secure school placements for students on the identified campus/es

    Experience 

    •  A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the Foundation Phase is required.

    Teaching Experience Supervisor - Foundation Phase

    Job Purpose: 

    Responsible for supervising, evaluating, and developing student teachers during their teaching experience and practical work in an appropriate school.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Observing and evaluating the student teachers’ performance during student teaching experiences in appropriate classroom settings.
    • Providing feedback essential to the student teachers regarding the content of observation and evaluation.
    • Ensuring and assisting the student teachers to reflect on their performance, identifying both strengths and areas of needed improvement regarding teaching /learning objectives, goals, strategies/approaches.
    • Recommending and/or teaching methods or alternatives for improving deficient areas in relation to the student teachers’ performance.
    • Providing oral and written feedback to student teachers after each formal observation
    • Helping student teachers deal with problems they may be experiencing.
    • Providing honest and candid evaluations of student teachers’ progress.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Qualifications 

    • B.Ed. Honour’s degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Education (at NQF level 8)
    • The undergraduate qualification or postgraduate qualification must include a focus on Foundation Phase and/or Early Childhood Teaching.

    Experience 

    •  A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the Foundation Phase is required.

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS

    • Have a valid driver’s license and have your own car.
    • Must have no criminal record.
    • Retired teachers are encouraged to apply.
    • Candidates with teaching qualifications currently involved in other sectors are encouraged to apply.
    • Able to possibly work remotely.

    Key Competencies:

    • Knowledge and understanding of the South African higher education systems and regulatory framework.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the Teaching and Learning theory and
    • The ability to provide student support
    • The ability to work with and learn more about digitalized academic
    • The ability to cope with a frequently changing environment and to adapt to evolving
    • Ability to adhere to rules and strictly follow work
    • Deadline-orientated and can work well under
    • Ability to manage time
