    Senior Operations Specialist

    About the role

    As a Senior Operations Specialist, you will have a direct and tangible impact on fleet operations that you can see in real time. If you’re ready to take full ownership of your work, disrupt the marketplace, and take Bolt South Africa’s fleet business to new levels - here’s your chance!

    Your daily adventures will include:

    • Re-engage lost revenue by reactivating existing fleet cars
    • Improve engagement of active fleet cars by analysing key performance metrics and scheduling regular meetings with fleet owners to gain insights and improve performance
    • Develop strategies to strengthen Bolt’s Fleet value proposition
    • Collaborate closely with HQ teams such as Central Operations, Product, Legal, Campaigns, or Marketing to retain, engage and grow fleets
    • Capture fleet input on the main blockers to activate new supply and find solutions to removing those blockers
    • Source new fleets not operating on Bolt
    • Track the incremental impact of relationship-building and customer-driven solutions
    • Host regular fleet roundtable discussions and regular fleet portal training sessions

    About you:

    • You have 3+ years of experience in an operations or account management role

    • Ownership: ability to proactively find solutions to business problems
    • Never-settle mentality: proven track record of client success and consistently achieving critical metrics and revenue targets
    • Outstanding project manager: capable of managing multiple projects, resources, priorities and time
    • Excellent communicator: ability to effectively communicate with many stakeholders involved
    • Commercial vein: building and maintaining long-term professional relationships with business partners using listening, negotiation and persuasion skills
    • Solid analytical skills: ability to interpret and present data to generate insights and support decision-making.
    • Passion: drive to work with new technologies

    Regional Manager - JHB

    About the role

    This strategic role will coordinate with and report to the Regional Director for Africa & International Markets. The position will have four direct reports: country managers for Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, and Tanzania.

     

    This is a critical, impactful, and highly rewarding role. The preferred locations for this role are Nairobi, Kenya, or Johannesburg, South Africa.

    Your daily adventures will include:

    • Lead the regional financial and strategic planning process.
    • Design, implement and optimise regional business and operational strategies/goals with Country Managers.
    • Oversee regional P&L delivery against set KPIs to make sure we are creating the biggest possible impact with our investments and maintaining operational efficiency.
    • Lead monthly and/or quarterly regional business reviews.
    • Operationalize key growth initiatives and/or best practices across the region.
    • Maintain a pulse on the local competition and industry to help steer and advise our strategic plans.
    • Understand regional needs, opportunities and regulations.
    • Build and grow local teams.
    • Advise and closely collaborate with HQ teams such as Product, Legal or Marketing to develop and execute key initiatives.
    • Set and implement expansion strategy for East and South Africa region, in collaboration with the Expansion team & relevant HQ teams.

    About you:

    • You have 7+ years of experience in an operations management or general management.
    • You have a proven track record of delivering results in a regional, cross-functional, high-growth, and fast-paced environment.
    • You are a strong leader and collaborator with excellent negotiation and communication skills (both verbal and written).
    • You have experience building relationships with leaders & peers, anticipating their concerns and successfully advocating for your priorities.
    • You are a hustler, not stopping after several obstacles a day.
    • You are highly analytical and have a data-driven mindset with experience reporting on business metrics, trends and using data to drive decision making.
    • You are passionate about new technologies and ridesharing.
    • You have a strong sense of ownership with a hands-on approach.
