    Reserve Manager - Mpofu Nature Reserve

    Purpose

    • To manage the biodiversity, heritage, protection, and infrastructure of the reserve through goal orientated management that is aligned with the conservation and tourism objectives of the protected area.

    Requirements

    • 3 (three) years tertiary qualification in Nature Conservation / Environmental Management
    • 5 (five) years’ experience in a junior management position.
    • Computer literate with computer software and systems such as, GIS, Internet Software, and MS Office
    • Fire Arm Competency Certificate and EMI Level 2 is required
    • A valid Driver’s Licence and Police Clearance

    Key Performance Areas

    • Financial Management: Provide input and manage in accordance of the Budget
    • People Management: Ensure that performance of subordinate staff is managed, and reporting done
    • Infrastructure / Asset Management: Ensure compliance with all Asset Management Policies of ECPTA
    • Biodiversity and Heritage Management: Stay up to date with latest improvements and legislation and Manage Alien Species Programme.
    • Law Enforcement: Identify thresholds of potential concern and develop mitigation methods
    • Tourism Hospitality: Develop and implement a Tourism Development Plan
    • Stakeholder management: Develop liaison Forums to discuss management issues
    • Implementation of Strategic Management plans: Review, update and implement the Strategic Management Plan

    Regional Hospitality Officer - Tsolwana

    Purpose

    To manage hospitality services in an effective and efficient manner by maintaining and improving the hospitality professional image of the tourist facilities in the Reserves.

    Requirements

    • 3 (three) years tertiary qualification in Hospitality or equivalent relevant
    • 5 (five) years’ experience in a similar
    • Experience in customer care and service
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure
    • Computer literate with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes
    • A valid Driver’s Licence

    Key Performance Areas

    • Hospitality Revenue Generation: Monitor the revenue generation at the
    • Management of Tourist facilities: Oversee the management of tourist facilities and related infrastructure and surrounding areas.

    Security Manager Great Fish Nature Reserve

    Purpose

    • The Security Manager will manage the law enforcement, security and control room and associated technological infrastructure of the reserve through goal orientated management that is aligned with the conservation objectives of the protected area.

    Requirements

    • 3 (three) year tertiary qualification in Nature Conservation / Environmental Management
    • 5 (five) years experience with an emphasis on Law Enforcement, Security and
    • Conservation Management.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and GIS
    • Firearm Competency Certificate
    • EMI Certificate
    • Driver Licence Code 8
    • No Criminal Record
    • Counter poaching experience will be an added advantage

    Key Performance Areas

    • Financial Management: Facilitate the Procurement specialist goods in accordance with SCM Policy.
    • People Management: Manage the performance of subordinate staff.
    • Biodiversity and Heritage Management: Provide specialist input towards Develop of subsidiary plans to offset risk to biodiversity.
    • Law Enforcement: Assist with the identification of thresholds of potential concern and develop mitigation methods.
    • Stakeholder Management: Participate in Liaison Forums to discuss management issues.
    • Strategic Management: Assist in the implantation of Species Management Plans for priority species.
