    Senior Accountant (Afrimat Nkomati Anthracite)

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience

    • Grade 12
    • A relevant Honour’s degree is required with SAICA, SAIPA or CIMA articles preferred
    • Advanced skills in Excel (including Vlookups and pivot tables) with working knowledge of AccPack and SAGE
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Mining industry
    • Must be proficient in English
    • Ability to work under pressure and independently without close supervision
    • Accuracy and attention to detail
    • Ability to plan, organize and control priorities with good administrative and communication s
    • Good working knowledge of tax laws in SA
    • Strong knowledge of business standards, policies, procedures
    • Strong knowledge of accounting and auditing standards
    • Ability to supervise and train employees, including organizing and scheduling of work assignments and keeping a team engaged

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Populate error-free monthly and quarterly financial reports (Qualitative and Quantitative).
    • Manage fixed assets register.
    • Preparation and submission of monthly management accounts
    • Balance sheet account reconciliations
    • Maintain general ledger accounts
    • Month end checks:
    • Creditor reconciliations review
    • Debtors’ reconciliations review
    • Depreciation entries
    • VAT calculations compilation
    • Bank reconciliations review
    • Analyse and provide feedback on trends and variances in financial reports
    • Analysis and Interpretation of production reports
    • Compiling of project and operational finance models
    • Assisting with identification of potential internal process and system weaknesses
    • Manage finance teams as and when required
    • Manage, coach & mentor of the finance team
    • Communicate with clients to resolve any issues on accounts.
    • Ability to identify weaknesses in the business processes and systems (diesel consumption etc.)
    • Assist with internal and external audits when required
    • Knowledge of BEE requirements/scorecards within the mining industry

    • Banking – help with banking administration. Payment checking and releasing

    Site Accountant (Afrimat Nkomati Anthracite)

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience

    • Grade 12
    • BCom Accounting Degree/Equivalent.
    • Working towards CIMA qualification will be preferred
    • Formal SAGE training (required)
    • A minimum of 5 years accounting experience with focus on cost accounting
    • Experience working with Accpac (Desirable)
    • Computer Literate - MS Office with advanced Excel experience MANDATORY
    • Must be Fluent in English (Preferred)
    • Clear criminal record
    • Valid driver’s license and own transport (preferred).

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience

    • Competent A certificate
    • Minimum of 7 years' demonstrated experience with responsibility for managing duties at an Opencast Mining on a site >300 k BCM/month
    • Legal Liability certificate
    • Blasting certificate would be advantageous
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Valid First Aid certificate would be advantageous
    • Previous Control/ Dispatch Room experience will be advantageous
    • Must have ability to do planning, lead, organize, control, and follow up
    • Must be able to work under pressure
    • Ability to respond and solve operational concerns

    Site Clerk (Afrimat Mining Services Nkomati)

    Responsibilities include (but not limited to the following):

    • Execute general administrative duties
    • Managing procurement process, keep good track of orders.
    • Diesel to be ordered on time and ensure correct quantities.
    • Assist with daily diesel dips and reports – ensure information is correctly recorded before submitting reports.
    • Accurately keep record of load & hauling of material.
    • Time registers to be updated daily.
    • Timesheets to be certified correctly and on time for month end payroll.
    • Assist HR with staff queries and paperwork as requested.
    • Maintain databases and filing systems up to date.
    • Carry out ad hoc duties as requested by manager.
    • Train reports.

    Minimum Qualification/ Experience:

    • Grade 12 certificate
    • Effective communication skills
    • Fluent in English and Afrikaans with excellent written communication skills

    Responsibilities include (but not limited to the following):

    • Assist Operators with maintenance
    • Cleaning up worksite

    Maintenance Manager (Afrimat Marble Hall Mine)

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensuring a safe and legally compliant working environment and work practices at the operation and supporting Line Managers to achieve the same.
    • Ensuring adequate technical capacity to effectively support the maintenance requirements of the operation (people, skills, facilities, tooling, equipment & systems).
    • Supporting the creation and implementation of a Physical Asset Management (PAM) strategy creating, implementing, and enforcing effective engineering standards.
    • Developing all technical staff (skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled) within the reporting ranks to their full potential.
    • Devising and implementing maintenance strategies and plans to effectively support the operation.
    • Taking full responsibility for own budget (labour productivity, recoveries & expenses).
    • Establishing a pro-active and performance-based engineering & maintenance culture.
    • Applying purpose-fit engineering solutions to prevailing technical issues.
    • Ensure TMMs are maintained according to OEM standards.
    • Ensure legal compliance to relevant acts and regulations.

    Minimum Qualification/ Experience:

    • Qualification – Engineering B-Degree/Diploma
    • Driver’s License: Yes – Valid driver’s license
    • Computer Literacy – All Microsoft Programs
    • Must have at least 5 years’ experience in the maintenance of TMM earthmoving equipment in the mining environment
    • 5 years supervisory skills
    • Ability to lead the team
    • Knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Excellent communication / report writing skills
    • Ability to communicate,motivate and build relationships
    • Preventative maintenance Management experience
