    Compliance Risk Management Officer - South Africa Data Protection Officer (DPO)

    Responsibilities:

    • Participating in the design, development, delivery and maintenance of best-in-class Compliance programs, policies and practices for ICRM.
    • Analyzing complex comparative data, preparing and presenting regional and global reports related to compliance risk assessments, and monitoring of compliance related issues.

      • Acting as a point of contact between Citi Legal Entities in South Africa and the local privacy regulators on matters relating to privacy;
      • Reviewing and advising on South Africa data protection impact assessments on potential risks and mitigating controls, where necessary; developing an understanding of local data processing activities and associated privacy risks.
      • Oversight of monitoring and advising on individual rights requests and enquiries made by data subjects on matters in relation to privacy, including complaints or grievances;
      • Advising on privacy-related considerations and requirements during the investigation of security incidents including advising on notifications to local privacy regulators;
      • Working with the Regional Chief Privacy Officer to advise on the implementation of new data protection, privacy and banking confidentiality laws in Citi Legal Entities across South Africa, working closely with first line In-Business Privacy Officers, local Product and Function teams and Country Legal and Compliance;
      • Attending industry body meetings to discuss and provide input to regulatory changes relating to data privacy laws;
      • Engaging the key privacy regulators in relating on any privacy matter under the South African legislation.

    Qualifications:

    Trade Service Professional (TSP)

    Responsibilities:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage day to day senior client contact and timely handling of client queries relating to Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, guarantees, other trade services and trade finance products with proactive follow up with the respective Operations and Product teams.
    • Maintain structured reporting of all inquiries and investigations queries handled across the client portfolios using PACT, our case tracking tool.
    • Monitor trends of client queries to determine to reduce the number of routine queries via automation and process enhancements.
    • Perform in-depth Root Cause Analysis for all complaints and investigations across the client portfolios.
    • Administer the Voice of Client (VOC) questionnaires, follow up for responses and prepare appropriate reports for reporting at the agreed frequency.

    • New Client on-boarding and management.  Participate in hand-holding of new clients to ensure the first time utilisation of Citi’s products and channels is seamless.  Liaise with partners (Implementations, Sales, Product and Technical Partners as appropriate) to ensure new clients are trained before they present transaction documents for processing.
    • Maintain active engagement with Product, Sales and Coverage partners in relation to new or changes to customer requirements.
    • Improve overall relations with our client base providing clients with one-to-one support tailored to their specific business and requirements
    • Active cross-selling of online self-service tools and channels such as CitiDirect for Trade, Trade Advisor, to improve client experience, process efficiency and reduce the number of routine queries received.

    Qualifications:

    • 3-4 years Trade Services and/or Finance experience within in a banking environment would be preferable.
    • 1-2 years experience in a customer service type role is an added advantage
    • Good Macro knowledge of trade flows would be desirable.

    Senior Business Unit Group Manager- Markets

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support the South Africa Markets Head in the performance of her daily role including her participation in, and preparation of, local and regional management meetings

    Senior Country Operations Officer - Operations Head

    Job Purpose:

    • Setting the strategy and goals/priorities for SA O&T being aligned with franchise, cluster and regional functional strategies considering Performance Management Standards (What and How).
    • Building up human resources & talent strategy for a strong and diverse O&T team across functions.
    • Lead overall Operations and Technology in line with the business objectives and strategies for the entire SA O&T franchise.

    Job Background/context:

    • The Job is a senior management role as the head of O&T for SA being a member of CCC, BRCC and various other management and oversight committees.
    • The role is responsible for entire O&T functions of SA franchise which has been existing for more than 50 years. Currently the in country workforce is around 150 with an expense budget of $14mio. The franchise consists of all ICG business segments (TTS, Markets & Securities, Custody) with a growth strategy. Except some of the local Operational activities (like Exchange Control, Cheque clearing, etc.) all other operational activities are mainly outsourced to TCS and CSCs. There are two legal vehicles existing in SA as Citibank N.A. (onshore Legal vehicle) where all banking functions performed under and Citigroup Global Markets SA which is used for mainly Equities business. The SA O&T Head role will be covering all these legal vehicles to the extent of O&T areas need to involved in. The O&T Head will represent the O&T and Franchise within the SA Local Regulatory Bodies when needed such as SARB, JSE and Banks Federations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Developing, implementing and managing/monitoring the strategy across functions for SA O&T.
    • Understanding and planning for the short and long term needs of the O&T organization related to human resources, working environment (including technology & premises), processes, risk and controls, client expectations. Developing a senior team of direct staff that is best-in-class in their respective key roles; and managing a diverse pool of O&T human resources including strict localization requirements.
    • Implementing a strong risk and control culture and environment across O&T functions to proactively identify the risks, timely escalate and initiate/support implementation of addressing controls.
    • Succession planning and strong back-ups for all key/critical roles across O&T functions.
    • Establishing and maintaining best-practicing O&T functions learning from its mistakes and striving best output at the optimum efficiency. Lead & coordinate all O&T functions including oversight of outsourced / offshored processes, with a focus on improved efficiency and quality.
    • Actively engaging with businesses and functions to provide strategic direction from an SA O&T perspective; prioritizing technology support for the franchise; maintaining strong focus on the delivery of high-quality customer services through O&T processes and platforms that are reflected in high degrees of customer satisfaction.
    • Ensuring O&T resources are appropriately aligned with the requirements of the business by quantity and competency.

    Local Regulatory Reporting Head

    Structured Trade Lead

    Responsibilities:

    • The Structured Trade Head is responsible for overseeing the Trade Structuring Transactors, Analysts and Specialists within SSA, across all industry and client segments
