    Switchboard Operator - Johannesburg

    Job Description    

    CONDENSED LIST OF DUTIES:

    • Work within a team of switchboard operators and handle 700 extensions.
    • Screen and direct calls to the correct extension numbers or departments.
    • Manage international calls
    • Assist internal and in directing queries to the correct persons or departments.
    • Field and escalate complaints to the correct persons
       

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12 with English and Afrikaans

    BASIC WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • 1 – 2 years’ experience in handling a busy switchboard

    Airfreight Coordinator - Ekurhuleni (East Rand)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Act on all enquiries received from the customers
    • Act on instructions received from the customers
    • Make bookings with the airline and co-ordinate delivery and collection of cargo to the handling agents
    • Monitor the cargo to fly as booked.
    • Advise the customers of any non-conformances and propose resolution

    Additional Responsibilities:

    Senior Process Engineer - Ekurhuleni (East Rand)

    JOB FUNCTION:

    • Technical input and support for quotes and tenders is supplied with regards to equipment selection, pricing and costing 
    • Enquiry reviews for all enquiries are conducted when required, installation supervision and commissioning as required
    • Market activities are reported on as per departmental requirements 
    • Quotation and tender documents are standardised with regards to technical sections
    • Customer requests, queries and complaints are managed within SLA
    • Process technology is supplied adherence to client requirements is ensured where applicable
    • Designated clients are visited as defined by management and schedule
    • Customer presentations on process equipment technology, operating and maintenance requirements
    • Training for clients, operators and other plant personnel as required 
    • Test work procedures/flow sheets pertaining to the particular sample to be tested, as well as the required equipment are drawn up as required 
    • R&D test work reports are reviewed before they are issued to clients to ensure technical accuracy of reporting and to improve standard of reports issued. Mass balances, recommendations and conclusions are to be specifically validated 
    • Compile reports and conduct test work where required. Assist in compilation and updating of operating and maintenance manuals
    • All expenditures are submitted in time as per company policy 
    • QA/QC procedures are adhered to and internationally accepted standards are maintained. All safety procedures as per business and OHSA requirements are adhered to Work of Process Engineers is reviewed as required and junior colleagues are coached and trained as required

    QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS:

    • Degree: Mineral Processing /Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering 
    • At least 5 years’ experience in a mineral processing environment 
    • Displays appropriate understanding of the company’s products and pricing in relation to job output
    • Working experience with cyclones and spirals
    • Display of understanding of project execution would be advantageous
    • Displays solid knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology
    • Continuous learner, quality orientated, persuasive, customer focused, good communicator and has high quality work standards
