    Community Linkage Officer

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Matric certificate
    • Training in Basic HAST, HIV Counselling, Adherence counselling
    • Knowledge of DoH HCT guidelines & protocols.
    • Experience working as an HCT counsellor

    • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good oral and written communication skills.

    Enrolled Nurse

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Enrolled Nursing certificate or equivalent qualification 
    • Valid registration with South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse
    • Minimum of two years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • HIV testing services trained
    • Trained in Disclosure in the context of HIV in children and adolescents living with HIV.
    • 2 years’ experience in working with adolescents living with HIV.
    • 2 years’ experience in clinical HIV/Aids, TB, STI, and related work.
    • 2 years’ experience in a primary health care setting.
    • Previous experience in a surgical environment and counselling skills (an advantage)

    Experience & qualifications:

    • Grade 12/ Matric /NQF level 4
    • Computer experience in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel, MS Word
    • Up to 1-year experience in data capturing and data collection in a health system, research environment or within the public health sector.

    Monitoring & Evaluation Officer - Polokwane

    Key duties and responsibilities

    • Provide technical assistance, guidelines/policies and support to all health facilities in the sub-districts
    • Mentor and supervise facility Data Capturers and Administration Clerks on TIER. Net, HTS (HIV testing services), ART and TB modules
    • Coordinate monthly collection of TIER. Net data and other routine data from facilities
    • Ensure availability of visible up-to date DIP Dashboards (District Implementation Plan) at supported facilities
    • Support QI (quality improvement) projects as assigned
    • Conduct routine audits, assessments and data quality assurance exercises at sub-district and facility levels
    • Ensure that data management documentation standards are always adhered to and conduct TIER. Net data cleaning before quarterly cohort reporting

    Technical Advisor: Clinical Lab Interface - Polokwane


    Key duties and responsibilities

    • Provide leadership and oversight to Anova on clinic-laboratory related aspects of the programme
    • Oversee implementation of Anova’s clinic-laboratory support activities at facility level, in line with project workplan & 95-95-95 strategy Technical Support
    • Provide technical support to facilities & sub-districts, and district re: implementation of CLI activities in line with 95-95-95 facility & sub-district implementation plan
    • Provide TA to HIV testing teams and Anova staff to ensure successful implementation of HIV testing Quality Assurance, HIV rapid test Quality Improvement Initiative (RTQII) and Proficiency Testing at Anova supported sites stakeholder engagement
    • Identify and establish working relationships with critical programme stakeholders (E.g. district laboratory coordinator, NHLS personnel)
    • Work closely with Anova HIV testing programme managers & coordinators
    • Manage and maintain functional relations with all internal and external stakeholders including DOH, and other Partners

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    • Degree in Biomedical Technology or relevant qualification
    • HPCSA registration as a Medical Technologist
    • More than eight years’ post qualification working experience
    • Previous experience working with the Department of Health and donor funded organisations will be an added advantage
    • Good knowledge of HIV/ART/TB related policies and guidelines

    Peer Educator - Parktown

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Peer Mobilisation

    • Recruit at least 80 clients each month to introduce the programme and the available services.
    • Do risk assessment to those 80 clients reached each month.
    • Refer those 80 clients to Nurses, HTS, Linkage Officers, Advocacy officer, and the Social Auxiliary Worker.

    Field Support

    • Provide harm reduction information and package to at least 80 clients monthly.
    • Manage your cohort and ensure they are provided with services and report to the coordinator to update your register.

    Mapping

    • Identify at least two new sites monthly.
    • All the sites must be added to your mapping tool.

    Debriefing and Counselling Sessions

    • Ensure that you attend social debriefing and give monthly feedback to the coordinator.
    • Ensure that you attend psychosocial counselling and give monthly feedback to the coordinator.
    • Any other tasks as agreed with line manager.

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    Enrolled Nurse - Polokwane

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Clinical Services

    • Perform PICT for clients presenting at health facilities and/or their partners; and appropriate referral
    • Screen clients for STIs, TB, Hypertension, diabetes and refer for provision of symptomatic management
    • Provide phlebotomy services for baseline bloods (pre-ART patients), VL and other monitoring bloods for patients already on ART in decanted modalities or general follow-up care
    • Age-appropriate HIV risk reduction counselling
    • Refer men for assessment of suitability (or otherwise) to undergo circumcision and/or refer for appropriate management
    • Encourage proper hand hygiene
    • Ensure clean and well ventilated environment
    • Identify potential risks and their management
    • Maintain strict infection control standards at all times

    Technical support and capacity building

    • Support Anova and/or DoH counsellors providing HTS and linkage to care services as well as adherence club or I-ACT facilitators
    • Supervise IQC, PT and other RTQII activities at facility level
    • Supervise and perform monitoring activities including updating of HTS registers and collection of statistics and validating of data
    • Tracking of laboratory results and ensure appropriate distribution, capturing and filing
    • Assist with implementation of decanting modalities at facility level as per need (cohorting, phlebotomy, completion of registers etc.) to ensure efficient running of the programme

    Administrative Tasks

    • Ensure timeous requisition of supplies
    • Adhere to individual target requirements as per team lead/supervisor directive, maintain data collection requirements
    • Participate in all quality improvement activities as part of the Anova QI initiatives
    • Participate in SIMS preparations, assessment (internal & external) and implementation of corrective actions
    • Attend programme related meetings as required
    • Compile and analyse patient data and statistics as required
    • Obtain and accurately document informed consent forms from clients
    • Complete, compile and submit relevant data forms/performance reports
    • Ensure the ethical, timely, accurate, confidential and courteous processing of programme clients
    • Any other tasks as agreed with line manager.

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • Enrolled Nurse certificate and registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC)
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in HIV and related programmes
    • Experience working in Public Health facilities engaging with adolescents and youth will be an advantage

    HTS (HIV Testing Services) Community Leader - Polokwane,

     Key duties and responsibilities

    • Supervise the community HTS team
    • Transport the HTS team around the sub district to testing sites
    • Conduct mass HTS services to raise awareness in the community
    • Identify testing sites and HTS campaigns and ensure condoms are distributed
    • Initiate community awareness activities on the importance of linkage to care and adherence to treatment
    • Meeting with Leaders (i.e. Chiefs, Induna’s & Ward Councilors), community stakeholders and facility Operational Managers prior to the testing events
    • Ensure QA on test kits that will be used by counsellors in the field, complete checklist and IQC records following the proper SOP or guidelines
    • In conjunction with Community Linkage Officers, ensure that all clients tested are captured on Tier.Net in the linked facility of each community
    • Offer support to community awareness campaigns organized by Anova and provide HTS and any HIV awareness when required
    • Give feedback to PHC facilities, Line Managers and WBOTs on progress of tested clients in the community
    • Submit monthly reports on all activities to the Line Managers including the Sub District Coordinator
    •  Any other tasks as agreed with line manager.

    Essential qualifications and experience

     

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
