    Business Development | Sales Representative

Digital Kungfu, Africa's best tech startup, is looking for a dynamic, tech savvy sales / business development executive to join the driving force behind generating new sales for this growing business. 2-5 years sales experience (preferably in ICT), creative thinking, a compelling sales personality, and a hunger to chase and close are important - but smartsresilience and the ability to hold your own with clients at a management / executive level are essential - for success in this role.

    Scope & Responsibilities

    As our Business Development / Sales Executive, you will be accountable for achieving results in the pivotal areas of new Business Development and Client Service, including (but not limited to) -

    • Meet new business revenue targets.
    • Identify key accounts and stakeholders and develop account penetration strategies, alongside Client Services.
    • Conduct client need analyses and adopt a solution-selling mindset in response to those needs.
    • Execute on new business development strategies, analyse results and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement (results).
    • Build and maintain relationships with key account stakeholders.
    • Participate in product development contributing feedback from the frontlines (client engagements).
    • Draft and package profitable proposals.
    • Accurately report and record client engagements on our CRM.

     

    Requirements

    • Fast learner with a growth mindset not afraid of challenge
    • Good understanding of ICT space, SaaS, OEM/Distributor/Vendor operating model beneficial.
    • An understanding of marketing principles
    • Excellent communication skills
    • A positive attitude
    • Negotiation skills
    • Plenty of initiative
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.
    • Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
    • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
    • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

     

    The Offer

    As a rule, we will match your current cost to company (to make sure you are moving for the right reasons). PLUS, as a Sales Exec, you are eligible for commission on all new deals at 5% of total production revenue. Commission is uncapped and target deficits are not carried forward where commission is concerned.
