    Furniture Designer and Product Developer_Coricraft – Cape Town

    Responsibilities:

    • Stay up-to-date with furniture trends and apply insights to product development, ensuring alignment with the furniture product strategy and driving commercial execution.
    • Planning timelines 6 to 12 months ahead.
    • Understand the performance of furniture styles at each stage of the product lifecycle; determine which products need updates, which are new, and which should be phased out, and strategize how to replace sales.
    • Prepare for seasonal workshops by collaborating closely with trend, supplier, and buying teams.
    • Collate and present a proposal of concepts to the business, including product visuals and sources of supply.
    • Understand the broader business and product strategy to align technical development with organizational goals.
    • Take clear direction from the buying team, translating their focus areas into actionable development.

     Qualifications and Experience:

    • Diploma in Interior and Furniture Design 
    • Relevant retail & brand experience is essential
    • Minimum 3-years’ Furniture Design and Technical Manufacturing experience is essential

    Management Accountant - Coricraft

    Key Responsibilities

     Month-End Duties:

    • Ensure accurate recognition and period allocation of all revenue and expenses.
    • Reconcile and validate sales data, payroll costs, and associated liabilities.
    • Accurately process and allocate staff deductions, commission structures, and bonus provisions.
    • Prepare and reconcile key Balance Sheet items, ensuring completeness and accuracy of provisions.
    • Manage payroll expense allocations by department and confirm salary-related liabilities are correctly recorded and settled on time.
    • Monitor and manage turnover rental liabilities, ensuring accurate accruals and timely payments.
    • Prepare and review the monthly management accounts, ensuring cut-offs are met and reporting is aligned with operational performance.
    • Maintain a detailed audit trail and documentation to support all transactions reflected in the general ledger.

    Financial Reporting & Analysis

    • Compile comprehensive reports for monthly management meetings (MANCO), enabling insightful analysis of performance vs budget.
    • Provide variance analysis and commentary for income statement and balance sheet items.
    • Assist with preparation of year-end financial statements and coordination of the external audit process.
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and audit requirements.

    Cash & Banking

    • Oversee the preparation, verification, and release of salary and EFT payment batches.
    • Manage bank reconciliations and ensure all items are cleared and resolved within acceptable timelines.
    • Monitor and maintain cash flow projections, flagging shortfalls or excesses for proactive action.
    • Ensure all bank-related charges, interest, and loan repayments are correctly accounted for.

    Team Oversight & Internal Controls

    • Lead and support the Creditors, Debtors, and Cashbook teams to ensure efficient processing and reconciliations.
    • Review and approve reconciliations, journals, and supporting documentation submitted by the team.
    • Implement and maintain strong internal controls and standard operating procedures within the finance function.
    • Encourage cross-training and professional development within the team to build a flexible and capable support structure.

    Operational Support

    • Work closely with operations and store managers to resolve capturing errors, expense allocations, and cost anomalies.
    • Ensure accurate stock movement reporting including WIP, Finished Goods, and non-BOM items.
    • Maintain fixed asset register and oversee monthly depreciation entries.
    • Monitor and analyse fleet costs, petty cash allocations, and inter-factory transactions.

    Ad Hoc & Continuous Improvement

    • Assist in financial system upgrades, data cleanups, and process improvements.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, improve accuracy, and reduce manual intervention.
    •  Provide ad hoc financial insights or analysis as requested by the Head of Finance or Executive Team.

    Minimum Qualification & Memberships:

    • Diploma or Degree in Financial Accounting
    • Studying towards CIMA (advantageous)
    • Membership with SAICA, CIMA, or SAIPA preferred

    Senior Sourcing Specialist: Knit and Knitwear Jet

    Key Responsibilities:

    • The Purpose of the role is to ensure synergistic financial benefits across the key commodities within the portfolio.
    • Support purchasing/product strategies to achieve improved operational profitability, Lead time, OTIF, Sell Through, Quality, Cost for Jet.
    • To strategically position the brand to increase market share in Knit and Knitwear Commodities by ensuring effective engagement with all key stakeholders.
    •  To effectively manage the vendor base (local, Regional and Import) to ensure sustainable and compliant source of supply.
    • Monitor performance and capabilities of suppliers and ensure that effective remedial plans are implemented to address any performances below set KPI’s.

    • Develop and implement strategic global sourcing strategies and business partnerships ie. Growth on local sourcing, Reducing exposure to China, South East Asia.

    Designer

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Create look and feel for seasonal merchandise, based on global trend and key lessons learnt (includes direction on silhouette, styling and fabric, print and colour). Essential to have a commercial eye and be able to interpret international trends for the customer
    • Incorporate brand handwriting / personality into the ranges
    • Briefing graphic designer and outwork team on trend and branding direction
    • Present and Develop Key Items for Foschini retail team for the upcoming season taking key platform fabrics and price points into consideration
    • This individual is also responsible for monitoring weekly sales and continuous developments throughout the season ensuring that the brand remains relevant and in line with consumer demand
    • Provide comprehensive and technical CAD drawings and tech packs, to ensure relevant and cost-effective product
    • Provide effective test options in order to establish new product categories, and relevant iterations on existing product lines
    • Provide the buying teams with regular relevant and aspirational trend information that is brand right
    • Managing the design process throughout the critical path - from briefing patternmaker thoroughly and working closely with all internal customers (merchandise, fabric, pattern and sample room teams) to ensure that samples are effectively executed
    • This individual needs to ensure all garments purchased meet the retail customer’s satisfaction with regards to quality and costs 

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design
    • Relevant work experience of 5 years in a design role
    • Manufacturing and supplier experience beneficial
    • Practical knowledge of garment construction, fabrics and trims

    Forensic Specialist

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Implement the group forensic strategy to reduce crime committed against TFG, including monetary losses
    • Reduce operational risk through recommendations to policies, processes, system or structure changes
    • Raise awareness of TFG’s zero tolerance stance
    • Respond to developing crime trends by recommending action plans
    • Coordinate and collaborate on all forensic efforts across the group
    • Determine key areas of risk & focus using info from whistleblowing/tip-offs and data analytics
    • Liaise with law enforcement agencies (SAPS), risk forums, industry bodies and relevant internal stakeholders
    • Uses highly developed investigative capabilities to manage risk by:
    • Ensuring that all investigations are conducted in accordance with accepted forensic methodologies
    • Liaises with Operations to reach desired conclusions regarding open cases
    • Ensuring that matters are followed through to achieve prosecution
    • Monthly reporting on operational forensic statistics

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • 7+ years practical experience at a senior level in the investigation of crime (including reactive investigations and pro-active strategies) (essential)
    • SAPS experience (including knowledge of prosecution procedures)
    • Retail investigations experience
    • Working knowledge of preparing evidence files and interviewing witnesses and suspects
    • Solid understanding of Criminal Justice and court proceedings
    • Established reputation for integrity, good judgment, fairness and discretion when dealing with staff and external parties.

    Quality Controller

    Key Responsibility:

    • Conduct final inspections at supplier factories following the TFG protocal. 
    • May be required to conduct pre-production and in-line inspections at supplier factories when required.
    • Ensure compliance with company quality standards and buyer specifications.
    • Identify, document, and report defects, deviations, and quality risks.
    • Monitor production processes and offer actionable quality feedback to factories.
    • Coordinate with QA teams and vendors for corrective actions.
    • Maintain inspection reports, measurement specs, and visual standards.
    • Travel regularly to production sites for audits and quality checks.

    Minimum requirements:

    • 3+ years of experience in quality control in the apparel or textile industry.
    • In-depth knowledge of garment construction, quality standards (AQL), and fabric behaviour.
    • Strong reporting, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple factory visits.
    • Willingness to travel extensively.
