    Admin Assistant

    Description

    • Receive and record incoming and outgoing correspondence to ensure proper record-keeping for the Division.
    • Prepare and distribute minutes, presentations, as well as general office documentation/communication to ensure that information, reach relevant identified parties
    • Perform general office duties
    • Arrange work sessions and staff meetings with employees and coordinate all logistical arrangements for the Division.
    • Responsible for the accommodation and flight arrangements for the Executive in accordance with CSOS travelling policy and procedures to the satisfaction of the division
    • Provide management support to the Executive

    Requirements

    • A secretarial diploma or a diploma in office administration or equivalent.
    • Grade 12 plus secretarial training and/or certificate in MS Office Suite.
    • 5-7 years working experience within a secretarial of administrative support role to a senior manager or executive in general office practices or procedures
    • Knowledge in the below:
    •  Knowledge of principles and practices of organisation, records management and general administration
    • Basic principles and practices of bookkeeping

    Case Management Officer: GP

    Description

    • Assessment on all applications for dispute resolution to determine jurisdiction.
    • Identification of issues in dispute in terms of Section 39 of the CSOS Act.
    • Prepare Notice 43 and 44 in terms of the CSOS Act.
    • Facilitate submissions received from various interested parties in terms of Section 44 of
    • the CSOS Act.
    • Set the matter down for a Conciliation hearing in terms of Section 47 of the CSOS Act.
    • Prepare file for Conciliation hearing.
    • Managing and capturing reports on case management system in the division.
    • Assist with telephone complaints as well as walk-in applicants.
    • Provide weekly feedback to complainants.
    • Prepare monthly reports on all matters.
    • Maintain diary of all matters.
    • Assist with ad hoc administrative support and duties within the division.

    Requirements

    • Degree in Law (NQF 7).
    • 2 – 3 Years experience in Dispute Resolution processes or the legal environment,
    • Knowledge of the Dispute Resolution process and Community Schemes.
    • Deadline focused.
    • Strong work ethic.
    • Team player.
    • Knowledge of computerized telephone management system.
    • Basic administrative functional knowledge (typing and filing).

    Schemes Governance Documentation Officer: GP

    Description

    • Receive and review schemes applications for quality assurance of rules (new & existing schemes)
    • Finalise applications for quality assurance of rules (new &existing schemes) post verification
    • Issuing of compliance certificates for all approved governance rules
    • Quality assurance of applications for resolutions (special & unanimous) in terms of section 6 (9) of Sectional Tittle Schemes Management Act.
    • Review and quality assure consent applications in terms of section 13 (2) of Sectional Title Schemes Management Act.
    • Attend to governance complaints and queries
    • Submit complete, reliable and accurate reports
    • Valid requests for access to schemes governance documents responded to (Section (4) (1) (d)
    • Attend to any matters incidental to the role that support the CSOS governance mandate

    Requirements

    • An LLB or 3 – year degree in Law (NQF 7)
    • Minimum of 3 - 4 years working experience in a related legal or governance role
    • Postgraduate qualification in Law and Admission as an Attorney will be an added advantage
    • Previous experience working with community schemes will be an added advantage
    • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    Knowledge:

    • Comprehensive knowledge of the Community Schemes Ombud Service (CSOS) Act & Regulations
    • In-depth understanding of the Sectional Tittles Schemes Management Act 08 of 2011 & its regulations
    • An Understanding of the Companies Act Sectional Tittles Act 95 of 1986; promotion of Administrative Justice Act 03 of 2000 and the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa
    • Knowledge of the Housing Development Schemes for Retired Persons, South African Co-operatives Act and Share Block Control Act
    • Knowledge of the Protections of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA)
    • Strong understanding of good governance principles

    Legal Advisor

    Description

    • Develop policies and processes that support CSOS reporting through proper documentation and data management.
    • Provide legal advice to CSOS through research to assist HR in handling labour issues and assist in CSOS compliance with various legal requirements.
    • Provide legal opinions and comment on relevant Legislation through research and analysis of case law implications.
    • Litigation and vetting and drafting contracts.

    Requirements

    • LLB or Equivalent
    • minimum of 3 - 5years post admission experience as an attorney or advocate of the High Court of South Africa

    Knowledge:

    • Extensive knowledge of labour law
    • Knowledge of company law
    • Knowledge of good governance.
    • Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

    Accounts Receivable Officer

    Description

    • To accurately and timeously allocate payments and report thereon.
    • To attend to and address customer requests, queries and disputes.
    • To timeously and accurately process customer invoices to ensure the quality of billing.
    • To print and distribute customer invoices and related documents
    • To implement policies and procedures for the environment and to ensure compliance thereof.
    • To administer customer records and work authorisations

    Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Financial Management or Accounting Diploma (NQF 5) or Degree (NQF6)
    • 2-3 years accounts receivable or billing and invoicing or collections experience.

    knowledge:

    • Good knowledge of Generally Recognised Accounting Practice (GRAP).
    • Understanding of relevant legislation, including PFMA and Treasury regulations.
