    Apprentice - 2023-Gauteng

    Description

    We are looking for a talented apprentice to join our team specializing in service for our distribution on business segment in johannesburg, gauteng, south africa

    In this role, the candidate will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Completes training in line with skill and business requirements
    • Assist in cleaning, inspecting, disassembling and other basic workshop activities
    • Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
    • Learns Standard Repair Times (SRTs) and follows documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and maintenance
    • Assists with completing required documentation, such as work completed documentation and time sheets via handwritten forms or business system input screens

    Sourcing Analyst

    Description

    We are looking for a talented sourcing analyst to join our team specializing in Purpchasing for our Corporate/cbs Segment in Johannesburg,south africa.   

    In this role, the candidate will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Work with and support the sourcing team in identifying new procurements opportunities through collection of information, input data from various sources, data analysis, and engagement with important stakeholders to ensure that cost saving, and continuous improvement opportunities are identified and implemented.
    • Will need to support purchasing/sourcing management in activities such administrative support, price benchmarking, vendor management, industry and market research for trends, process and data analysis, and model building.
    • Procures inventory, supplies and capital goods, places orders with vendors. Low complexity / risk sourcing works and contract development. This includes interactions with suppliers for payments and order fulfilment.
    • Must be able to prepare and present to senior purchasing/sourcing management recommendations of improvement and/ or strategy opportunities and alternative courses of action.
    • Develops and maintains effective relationships with suppliers to the benefit of both parties as well as maintaining long-lasting existing relationships between existing suppliers and internal stakeholders. This includes interactions with suppliers for payments and order fulfilment.
    • Negotiations Excellence - Utilizes tools and methods in negotiations to achieve Cummins stakeholder targets and achieve a mutually agreed upon deliverables with suppliers. While consistently applying sourcing policies, procedures and processes.

    To be successful in this role the candidate will need the following:

    • College, university, or equivalent degree in field appropriate for the function required.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft word, PowerPoint, excel, teams, zoom, etc (Advanced Excel experience would be an advantage)
    • Analytical, Problem-Solving Skills, Project Management Skills & Sound time-management and organizational skills.
    • 1 -2-year proven work experience as a Sourcing Analyst, similar role coupled with some understanding of sourcing and procurement methodologies

    PowerGen Field Service Technician

    Payroll Administrator

    In this role, the candidate will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Processes payroll according to internal policies, procedures, and work instructions. Experience in Africa and Middle East Payrolls would be advantageous.
    • Ensures payments are calculated and paid accurately and timely; ensures proper calculation of taxes and deductions.

    Executive Administrative Assistant

    In this role, the candidate will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Provide extensive personal and administrative assistance to the South Africa MD and her leadership team (LT - 8 ) Quickly understand critical business priorities and be able to schedule meetings seamlessly with particular attention to timelines for deliverables.
