    Audit Automation & Data Analytics Specialist

    Job Description

    This exciting role is responsible for executing analytics delivery for Group Internal Audit.

    The role is responsible for supporting internal audit engagements and executing analytics including delivery of the audit plan to the satisfaction of the relevant stakeholders.

    This role will also help to develop data driven insights by including analytics performed on internal audit engagements onto our Integrated Assurance Platform (IAP). The successful candidate will provide in depth analysis of data using data mining and profiling techniques.

    Successful candidates will be able to obtain an understanding of a complex IT estate including Mainframe, iSeries, ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle, managed by multiple service providers, as well as a holistic view of the Group by auditing across processes and segments within the organisation. Sustained, quality interaction with members of Senior Management during audits will increase your profile within the business. The mix of skills within Group Internal Audit (GIA) also provides you with the ability to increase your business knowledge and marketability across the organisation.     Key Result Areas / Outputs

    Audit Services/Execution

    • Understanding the business and IT management processes to ensure alignment with IT best practices.
    • Devise and promote creative data visualization to derive actionable intelligence.
    • Support audit assignments using data analytics to execute on control objectives.
    • Proactively improve analytic approaches, methodologies, data and reporting capabilities.
    • Prepares workpapers to substantiate data analytic findings through enhanced story telling.
    • Develops and continuously updates standard operating procedures.
    • Delivery of impactful and visual data reports.
    • Provide assistance with IT audit coverage planning.
    • Develops and maintains client relationships at the appropriate level.
    • Keeps abreast and applies industry and technical knowledge.
    • Support the Head of Audit or Subject Matter Lead for Technology Risk, Change & Data Analytics to deliver the audit plan.

    Requirements:

    • Relevant 3-year degree (BSc Mechatronic Engineering, BSc: Information Technology)
    • Either have or working towards: Honours Degree in IT would be a distinct advantage
    • Advanced programming or similar qualification
    • Exceptional Stakeholder Engagement to enhance relationship
    • Ability to build relationships with other IT specialist across OML
    • Excellent Communication Skills
    • Knowledge and skills transfer

    Experience:

    • Previous working experience in an audit environment would be advantageous
    • Experience with automation technologies (e.g., Blue Prism, Power Automate, Athena, etc) and API programming will be advantageous
    • Strong technical experience with multiple databases

    Key behavioural skills and attributes that would make a candidate successful in this role:

    • At least 3 years experience in IT Audit and performing Analytics
    • Visualisation and Business Intelligence experience
    • Appropriate life insurance industry experience (including business process reviews)
    • Good understanding of the business and IT management processes, risks and controls
    • Ability to research and apply IT control concepts in audit assignments
    • Able to travel locally and internationally

    Senior Product Specialist : Marketing

    Job Description

    This role contributes in collaborating with the business to facilitate the process of product procurement approvals, on-boarding and launch to market of new products. Incumbent works at a team level, and is accountable for service delivery within a function/team for time spans of between 3 months to 1 year. Delivers results through setting specific objectives, quality standards and timeframes, ensuring attainment of goals, diagnosis and interpretation of information.

    KEY RESULT AREAS

    • Senior role in a specialist team of product experts that focuses on a variety of business development, marketing, competitor-research and data analytics activities, in support of achieving improved sales outcomes for Old Mutual Protect, Old Mutual’s premier retail protection proposition
    • Collaborate with key Personal Finance (PF) and Mass Foundation Cluster (MFC) distribution team members, to bridge the product marketing of Old Mutual Protect with the channel marketing needs of our key segments
    • Collaborate with key Old Mutual Rewards team members, to market, grow and further develop the Rewards/Fitness Rewards aspect of the Old Mutual Protect proposition
    • The incumbent will be a key member of the Protection Management Business Development & Marketing team, will participate actively in channel engagements/adviser roadshows and will be pivotal to the growth and development of Old Mutual Protect, to restore its position as the leading protection proposition in South Africa.
    • General: Undertakes the functions of competitor analysis, enhancing protection management information (data and analytics), stakeholder communication/engagement, implementation of activation plans, roll-out and implementation of product launches, building of marketing support materials and tools, delivery of training, and review/analysis of post launch processes relating to product take-up and performance.

    Product Performance

    • Old Mutual Protect sales outcomes, for both PF and MFC, are the ultimate yardstick of success
    • Deep expertise of Old Mutual Protect (OMP) proposition, with a supporting business development and marketing skill-set, to deliver a regular flow of marketing content to key channels
    • Supports risk specialists with associated competitor, product insight, and marketing-related needs
    • Engages with the business to plan/create MIS formats/dashboards needed to monitor product take up and performance
    • Analyses and makes recommendations on MIS and communicates /feedback trends

    Stakeholder Management

    • Collaborates and engages/communicates to ensure agreement /alignment of the annual/quarterly/specific Old Mutual Protect product marketing needs, messages and approach with key stakeholders

    Product Marketing

    • Key role maintaining the competitor protection database and positioning Old Mutual Protect in a competitor context

    Team Development & Growth

    • Manage (likely), develop and inspire a small team of product experts

    Role Requirements

    • 3 year Tertiary Qualification in Engineering, Commerce, Business Actuarial, Marketing or Finance
    • A min of 3 years applicable product/business experience (of which 2 years is management experience, if leading a team)

    • Matric with a min of 6 years applicable product/business experience (of which 4 years is management experience, if leading a team)

    Job Description

    Job specification:

    An opportunity has become available for a Legal Advisor Advanced within the Legal team within the Old Mutual Personal Finance business unit. This role provides advanced legal support on Financial Planning and Distribution of Financial Products , as well as providing advanced legal advice. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results, over periods from 3 months to a year. Participates in legislation if required.

    Role Description & Key Result Areas:

    • Provide legal advice to brokers/ financial advisors with regard to estate planning, retirement planning, and investment planning and business assurance.
    • Provide ad hoc training to brokers/ financial advisors and staff on legal as well as compliance related issues.
    • Provide ad hoc legal and marketing presentations to brokers/ financial advisors and their clients.
    • Writes financial planning circulars and provides legal opinions / comments on legislation.
    • Provide support to Old Mutual Personal Finance legal advisers in the other regions.
    • Interact with the Legal Advisor Advanced, Area Managers & Sales Managers and Financial Advisors with regard to legal advice, training and compliance.
    • Influence sales within Old Mutual Personal Finance

    Qualifications and experience:

    • An LLB or B Proc qualification.
    • Admitted as an Attorney will be advantageous
    • Completed / in the process of obtaining Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (CFP) will be advantageous
    • Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans).
    • Basic knowledge of the legislation relating to financial planning.
    • Basic knowledge of retail financial services products.
    • Computer literacy.
    • Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to liaise at all levels.
