    Shift Storeman

    An exciting opportunity awaits you at Mondi South Africa. The Central Maintenance  team is searching for a Shift Storeman  to join our business located in Richards Bay, KZN.

    Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, the successful incumbent will be responsible for the optimization of the store operations and projects in the issuing and controlling of stock and equipment.

    Profile Requirements:

    • Tertiary education in the Warehousing, Distribution or Supply Chain Management
    • Minimum NQF level 5
    • Code 08 / EB license
    • Accredited Forklift / Lifting equipment license

    Experience:

    • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a Warehouse or Stores environment within a manufacturing industry with a preference of Pulp and Paper industry experience

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Implementing and maintaining equipment and programs in the Stores including the Management System
    • Take a practical role in optimization of technical stores systems and resources ensuring plant/process availability according to predetermined availability parameters
    • Monitoring process and systems conditions and trends to improve productivity and efficiency
    • Perform stores tasks when participating in optimization projects
    • Engage in liaison with other stakeholders such as suppliers, direct line management, production, engineering and maintenance

    Mechanical Supervisor

    Reporting to the Workshop Maintenance Manager, the successful incumbent will be responsible to plan and activate tasks and supervise the team to achieve specific objectives in the CMS workshop team with the aim of satisfying section and departmental goals as well the application of cost-effective processes in a safe environment.

    Profile Requirements:

    • Tertiary education in Engineering Diploma/Degree
    • Mechanical Trade Certificate
    • Supervisory Management qualification

    Experience:

    • 3 - 5 years’ experience in the maintenance (post trade)  in a junior specialist, operations or function specific role with specific reference to the related supervisory competencies within a pulp and paper environment
    • Code 08 / EB license
    • All relevant plant equipment licenses

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Supervise all aspects of the team’s health, safety, environmental and quality requirements
    • Ensure cost effective team operations by allocating resources, prioritizing work and maximizing plant availability
    • Foster and maintain customer and supplier relations
    • Implement team KPI’s that are aligned to the departmental plan  
    • Technical team support in shared maintenance activities
    • Allocate team resources to areas where required to ensure optimum availability and efficiency of equipment
    • Deliver weekly and monthly maintenance team reports
    • Effective team supervision of the CMS workshop team

    Credit Controller

    Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for risk assessments, receipt processing and monitoring of customer accounts.

    Profile Requirements:

    • Grade 12 (including Accounting)
    • Diploma/Degree in Accounting or equivalent
    • Computer Literacy including MS Office

    Experience:

    • 5 years relevant credit controller experience within a similar role
    • SAP experience
    • Manufacturing corporate experience would be advantageous

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Assessment of risk for new applications and re-instatements including liaison with credit bureaux and insurance company
    • Maintenance of SAP customer master records
    • Daily processing and allocation of receipts including cashflow forecasting
    • Constant monitoring and follow up on due and overdue accounts
    • Credit limit upliftment decisions in line with established limits of authority
    • Regular liaison and support with both internal and external customers
    • Continuous improvement initiatives within the Accounts Receivable Department
    • Any other function required to ensure smooth operation of the Department

    Hydraulics Artisan

    An exciting opportunity awaits you at Mondi South Africa. The Central Maintenance team is searching for a Hydraulics Artisan  to join our business located in Richards Bay, KZN.

    The Hydraulics artisan role shall provide full support to the hydraulics supervisor, within a team environment, with plant maintenance execution of the short- and medium-term horizons. Further, the role shall support technical decision making on a day-day basis with the intention of ensuring maximum availability and reliability of operating assets for the production teams in the short and mid-term. Finally, the hydraulics artisan shall ensure the execution of work during shutdowns.

    Profile Requirements:

    • Minimum NQF level 4.
    • Preferably a qualified Millwright, other trades will be considered. 
    • Code 08 / EB license

    Experience:

    • A requirement of 3 to 5 years within the maintenance / engineering function in a heavy-industry environment – e.g. pulp and paper, steel processing, mining, etc.
    • A requirement of 3 to 5 years in the role of advanced hydraulics maintenance and troubleshooting.

    Experience in the application of the following core engineering processes:

    • Maintenance quality management.
    • Shutdown and task execution.
    • Contractor supervision.
    • Fault-finding and troubleshooting (application of problem-solving techniques & tools).
    • Root Cause Analysis participation

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Maintaining and Troubleshooting Hydraulic systems. With the objective to provide reliable hydraulic equipment/systems.
    • The execution of more complex hydraulics maintenance activities, including the supervision of contractors required for these activities.
    • The role shall serve as the first call on break-down events to support the problem diagnosis and execute the appropriate corrective action.
    • Troubleshooting – understand, utilize, and use technical drawings, P&ID’s, etc. for fault finding on plant problems.
    • Ensure adherence to engineering standards by the team during maintenance execution.
    • The role shall provide support to the planning department on routine maintenance and shut-down activities, from a technical perspective.
    • Execution of repairable and non-repairable spare parts as per the RACI or responsibility definition of the process procedure, such as quality check activities, etc.
    • Analysis of actions arising from equipment troubleshooting (including scoping of work). Collaboration with Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation team from this perspective.
    • Highlight to the hydraulics supervisor, any operational risk arising from equipment defects and faults (‘mill equipment risk list’).
    • Identify and communicate small-scope improvement projects and initiatives from a technical design perspective with the intention on improving service life.
    • Auditing of the quality of service received by the Central Maintenance Services department.
    • Maintaining the required condition of plant and equipment.
    • Maintain plant technical documentation as per the RACI or responsibility definition of the process procedure.
    • Communicate foreseeable spend within the assigned cost centre.
    • Support the Hydraulics Supervisor, in ensuring compliance to all mill asset care procedures (with specific reference to Work Order, Technical Change and Shutdown Management processes).
    • Support the mill wide departments during appropriate technical processes (for example, RCFA investigations).
    • Support the mill wide departments, through the identification of improvement potential and sources of loss.
    • Support the mill wide departments, in the development of applicable Engineering Standards for the mill.
