    Electrician - JHB

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Maintenance of machinery and plant to ensure continued mechanical operation performance.
    • Ensure preventative maintenance scheduled is actioned and adhered to. Report all challenges to the Maintenance Manager.
    • Identify improvements to be made on all aspects of the production lines technically.
    • To comply with the standby schedule, safety requirements as prescribed and any requirements of
    • Ensure a root cause analysis is conducted for stops experienced on the production line.
    • Ensure quality at source is maintained to drive a positive outcome in the production process.
    • Perform other duties as per operational requirements.

    JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Matric (Grade 12) or recognized equivalent qualification.
    • Must have passed a relevant trade Test as a Qualified Electrician.
    •  Must Have Minimum 5 years’ experience within a Manufacturing / production related facility.
    • Must Have Good understanding of PLC’s and general programming.
    • VSD’s and Servo Motors
    • Steel Experience advantageous
    • Wiring and panels
    • Driver's license: B, C
    • Available for standby.
    • Work weekends if required.
    • Team player and have the passion to grow.
    • Ability to motivate and help others to reach their full potential.
    • Ability to troubleshoot, analyse and resolve problems with minimum support.

    RnD Lab Technician Patteserie - JHB

    MISSION

    • Responsible for formulation, recipes, processes, analytical test, measurement, and equipment for the R&D Lab. This position reports directly to R&D Manager Patisserie.

     KEY TASKS

    Baking and Analytical Excellence

    • Be familiar with formulation, recipes, processes, and equipment
    • Explore new ingredients in various Patisserie Mixes application.
    • Will be entrusted with the entire Patisserie Mixes process, preparation of ingredients, follow the method assigned.
    • Contribute to the development of new recipes and methods to analyse baked product.

    Reporting

    • Report on the R&D development project all the characteristics associated with the Patisserie tests.

    Laboratory requirement

    • Be responsible for the R&D Patisserie Mixes part of the laboratory.
    • Maintenance of the existing equipment.
    • Installation of the new equipment.
    • Follow-up and maintenance of the equipment (first point of contact for suppliers).
    • Maintain a hygienic and safe environment for all the team.

    Support to Operations

    • Perform other duties as per operational requirements.

    JOB REQUIREMENT

    • Matric (Grade 12) and a National Diploma in Food Science or relevant qualification
    • Minimum of two years as an R&D Lab Technician.
    • Computer literacy: MS Office suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
    • Accuracy will be highly required.
    • Written comprehension – the ability to read and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
    • Good communication skills - English is a prerequisite.
    • Ability to read and write in English and any other language(s)

    Technical Sales Consultant - East London

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Conduct Product Needs Evaluation Analysis for customer and potential customers
    • Set up appointments with customers for business dialogue/engagement /customer visits
    • Communicate with customers effectively during customer visits or interviews
    • Carry out thorough Customer Needs Evaluation and Analysis based on customer requirements as assessed during customer visits or interviews
    • Provide consultancy and support services for customer and potential customers
    • Carry out and implement ingredient replacement projects/solutions
    • Communicate with clientele regarding ingredient replacements
    • Perform product demonstrations by showing the correct use of Chipkins Puratos products
    • Attend to product enquiries
    • Assist customers with “trouble shooting issues”
    • Provide consultancy services to customers
    • Provide market information to Sale Representatives and Senior Technical Sales Consultant
    • Prepare and bake-off Chipkins Puratos ingredients for customers and promote features and benefits of Chipkins Puratos products over those of competitors to customers, solution offerings, technical advice
    • Compile Trial reports for Senior Technical Sales Consultant
    • Provide contact reports on each customer and/or branch visit
    • Compile Product Design and Status report
    • Conduct Competitive Intelligence Assessment of opposition and competitors’ products
    • Build relationships with customers/clients.
    • Perform other duties as per operational requirements.

    JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12 and any relevant Bakery qualification in Baking & Confectionery; preferably a National Diploma in Food Science and Food Technology
    • Driver’s License
    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Industrial bakery sector with in-depth knowledge of processes and procedures in Industrial bread plant bakeries; experience in functional bakery ingredients and bakery processing systems; experience in product development of bakery related products and systems; preferably SETA accredited certificate in baking.
    • Computer literacy: MS Office suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
    • Knowledge of basic arithmetic, and general accounting principles and practices and concepts.
    • Over and above normal working hours; flexible working hours are required depending on customer needs; extensive travelling is required.
    • Written comprehension – the ability to read and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
    • Good communication skills - English is a prerequisite.
    • Ability to read and write in English and any other language(s).
    • Good personality, hardworking, teamwork, service orientated, creative, innovative, trustworthy, open to learn from feedback.
