    Technical Support Representative (TSR3)

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide support services to employees with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop or network services. 
    • Assist employees using network remote access.
    • Train peers, Technical Support Representatives and end users as assigned.
    • Respond to incident and service request escalations to successfully maintain production schedules and service levels.
    • Implement solutions; effectively use TSR support end-user management tools.
    • Perform assigned software and device maintenance and upgrades, documenting any changes made.
    • Execute assignments by following established procedures and applying appropriate levels of drive and creativity.
    • Follow procedures and guidelines at all times.
    • Assist others in analysing and evaluating system malfunctions and take appropriate action as directed.
    • Decommission assets as outlined by policy; coordinate and execute the surplus of hardware assets.
    • Implement changes and participate in project rollouts and events.
    • Perform audit tasks as directed by management.
    • Comply with applicable industry regulatory requirements.
    • Participate in technical ticket reviews.
    • Respond to duty phone calls (24/7); travel will be required. 
    • Participate in project management and event support.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must be an endowed member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a current Temple Recommend.
    • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent certification (must be NQF7)
    • Significant knowledge of a variety of operating systems, hardware platforms, technical disciplines, virtualisation, end-user applications, wired and wireless network connectivity and/or video conferencing platforms. 
    • Advanced asset management practices.
    • Network technologies pertaining to system connectivity and troubleshooting.
    • Effective communication and customer service skills.
    • Advanced understanding of IT business functions.
    • Proven ability to be proactive, detail-oriented, dependable and appropriately prioritise tasks.
    • Proven ability to work independently while contributing to the strategic needs of the team.
    • Understand business problems and articulate potential technical solutions.
    • Ability to lift 25kg, reach cross and work under desks.
    • Driver’s license is required.

    Area Temple Facilities Manager

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for hiring, development, and performance management of Temple Facilities Services team.
    • Enhance job knowledge, skill levels and performance of Temple Facilities Services team by providing on-site and remote training, coaching, and mentoring.
    • Responsible for producing temple maintenance guides and materials; researching, testing and sponsoring implementation of improved maintenance methods, systems, and equipment.
    • Responsible for creation and execution of annual plan, managing operational costs, maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair of electrical, mechanical, audio-visual, and computer systems.
    • Responsible for department labor costs (contract and employee) and third-party relationships.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
    • 10 years of experience in the facilities management industry. 
    • At least 5 years of experience as a people manager.
    • Broad understanding of facilities systems and processes.
    • Executive level, effective verbal and written communication and computer literacy are required.
    • Professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Proven front-line management skills in a multi-discipline work environment and ability to manage difficult situations to achieve a positive and appropriate resolution.
    • Must possess strong financial and business acumen. 
    • Must be willing to travel.

    Area Online Education Manager - BYU-Pathway Worldwide

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    AS THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

    • Build Relationships of Trust with Church and Area Leaders
    • Cultivate strong partnerships with the Area Presidency, Welfare & Self-Reliance, Seminaries & Institutes, and local ecclesiastical leaders.
    • Actively participate in key strategic and operational meetings, serving as the ambassador of BYU-Pathway to the Area and vice versa.
    • Promote BYU-Pathway within the Area, encouraging enrolment and fostering collaboration with key partners.
    • Train, Build Awareness, and Encourage Enrolment
    • Fulfill area presidency and organizational objectives to identify individuals who would benefit from BYU-Pathway and invite them to participate. 
    • Represent and Promote BYU-Pathway
    • Under the direction of the area presidency and BYU-Pathway leadership, act as a representative to government, religious, education, and community leaders.
    • Collaborate with partners to develop and execute area plans, including EnglishConnect, returned missionary support, FSY/YSA conferences, and other special projects.

    • Provide support, training, and motivation to BYU-Pathway Senior Service Missionaries to enhance student recruiting, communications, weekly gatherings, and retention efforts.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Area knowledge or work experience in Africa South Area, along with advanced cultural awareness of the region, is desired.

    Meetinghouse Technology Specialist - Johannesburg

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assists each stake/district to develop a technology plan.
    • Develop country-specific meetinghouse technology implementation standards in cooperation with the Area Meetinghouse Design Committee. 
    • Works with Facilities Managers to realize technology requirements as they relate to the implementation of meetinghouse annual plans.
    • Maintain, in collaboration with the Operations and Maintenance division, an approved vendor list for technology-related services for each country, establishing preferred vendor relationships, wherever appropriate. 
    • Develop, maintain, and provide locally adapted training and materials to facilities managers and stake technology specialists. 
    • Assist Stake/District Technology Specialists with troubleshooting meetinghouse technology-related issues and work with the FM and Stake/District Technology Specialist to resolve known issues. 
    • Share knowledge by contributing content to the knowledge base and communicating with local stake technology specialists.
    • Make recommendations for process, standards, or policy adjustments when appropriate. 
    • Assist the FM with to maintain an accurate inventory of all meetinghouse technology assets.
    • Monitor the functionality of the equipment and advise the STS and FM’s accordingly. 
    • Provides remote support to the FM and STS as required on installations. 
    • Research new and existing software applications and equipment for compatibility and ease of use and provide feedback to the product managers and FMs respectively
    • In collaboration with AMDC develop and ensure church meetinghouse network standards and strategies are implemented and followed.
    • Participate in continual learning and improvement to stay ahead of the curve with technology provision at meetinghouses.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required: 

    • Must hold a current / valid temple recommend and/or be worthy to hold one
    • Must have  a Bachelor's degree. 
    • 2 years of job-related experience supporting PC hardware & software, wired and wireless local area networks and, internet connectivity. 
    • A+ and N+ IT certifications are required.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with customers at the highest levels of the Church.  
    • Good written communication skills. 
    • Ability to speak, read and write English. 
    • Good understanding of video, audio and broadcasting technology. 
    • Self-motivated and capable of working without supervision. 
    • To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment. 
    • Required to lift up to 50 pounds as well as bending, stooping, reaching, and grasping.
