MAIN DUTIES:

Key Performance Areas:

• Develop insightful business intelligence reports (KPIs, metrics, adhoc queries), dashboards, and/or ad hoc analyses. Clean and transform data as required to deliver actionable information.
• Collaborate with other BI developers in team, end users, analysts, and management to ensure the creation and delivery of business intelligence solutions.
• Use reports and analyses to identify potentially problematic data, make corrections, and eliminate root cause for a range of complex data problems (e.g.: input errors or inadequate field edits), and recommend possible solutions and communicate their organizational impact.
• Perform fit-gap analysis comparing existing reporting solutions with BI strategy and assess compliance with best practices and established standards.
• Participate in user acceptance testing of new BI analysis and reporting systems, upgrades, enhancements and change requests; plan, conduct and document results of testing.
• Assist in supporting the MS SQL Server/ Azure Database Administrator
• Complete documentation on BI Dashboards and data flow processes

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Strong background in Data Warehousing principles and Data Modelling, specifically design and delivery of star-schema based data marts
• Implementing MS SQL Server Azure cloud Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions
• Solid experience in Qlikview and Qlik Sense BI tools and Server Administration
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and analytics techniques
• Highly self-motivated and able to work Independently as well as in a Team environment
• ETL design and implementation experience using SSIS, Alteryx, Easymorph or similar
• Solid experience in Qlikview and Qlik Sense BI tools and Server Administration. Also experience in using the MS BI stack (SSIS, SSAS and Power BI) or Tableau would be an advantage.
• Solid experienced in the use of T-SQL queries, Stored Procs, Views, Triggers in MS SQL Server

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Matric / Grade 12
• B.Com or BSc Degree degree/diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience, specializing in data integrations and BI solution architecture, design, and development.
• Technical Specialization in:
•  BI Tools: Qlikview & Qlik Sense
•  MS SQL Server Azure Cloud Data Warehouse Implementation.
•  ETL using SSIS or similar
•  MS SQL server Azure and Qlikview/Qlik Sense server administration
