    Finance Director

    Job description

    About the role

    • This is an attractive opportunity for a senior financial leader to make their mark as the Finance Director for a company that is rapidly expanding. This is a highly visible, senior level role that reports into the CFO (Co-CEOs in the interim). The Finance Director will quickly establish credibility internally and externally, deliver value and play a significant leadership role across the finance function. You will be accountable for all operational finance deliverables such as forecasting, budgeting and reporting. You will be required to provide insights, sound advice and guidance to the business on all financial matters.
    • As a leader in the finance space you will partner with managers to ensure effective planning and budgeting across the organisation. The role also has a significant focus on dealing with our USAID and donor funded programs, and as a result USAID and donor funded experience is a non-negotiable with in-depth exposure to managing US Government contracting. Acting as the gatekeeper for all internal controls, you will ensure that we have in place optimal financial systems, processes and practices and continuously seek ways to improve and embark on cost cutting and streamlining processes.
    • Your ability to successfully communicate and present financial matters to a non-financial audience and influence key decision makers is key to your success in this role.
    • You must have a passion for leading, coaching and developing a team through peaks and driving a Finance function to continuously achieve excellence.

    Your experience and qualifications

    • You will ideally have seven years of management experience with five of those years in a similar role working in a medium to large complex organisation.
    • Strong USAID and donor funded experience is a non-negotiable.
    • You should be able and willing to travel domestically and globally as and when required. As an accomplished leader, you will have a passion for attracting, managing and developing a high performing team and have a strong focus on coaching and mentoring talent.

    Management Accountant

    About the role

    This is an attractive opportunity for someone who wants to expand their career and gain exposure to some leadership competencies in the finance space.

    • As the Management Accountant you will be responsible for the development, analysis and control of variances including providing key ratios and statistical information for the organisation. Critically evaluating current practices, processes and systems you will constantly be seeking ways to improve and streamline practices across the finance function while supporting cost cutting measures. You will be responsible for the monthly and quarterly cash flow forecasts, providing insights and trends to inform decision making. From a system perspective you will contribute to maintaining the integrity of the system and ensure we are optimizing and leveraging the system. A key focus will be implementing and overseeing the procurement process and assisting the Group Finance Director in the management of the Finance team.
    • Your ability to successfully communicate and present financial matters to a non-financial audience and influence decision making will contribute to your success in the role.

    Your experience and qualifications

    • You will ideally have five years of experience in a similar role working in a medium to large complex, matrixed organisation. While not mandatory, experience in USAID and the donor funded environment would be advantageous.
    • You should be able and willing to travel domestically and globally as and when required.
