    Regional Sales Manager

    Job description

    Main Purpose

    To provide input into the Store Channel strategy and to implement the strategy within the region. To ensure effective and efficient operations and compliance through application of technical expertise, process management, relevant controls and measurement. To achieve, manage and monitor regional sales targets. To manage and coordinate national events and sales campaigns on a regional basis to maximise new account growth and profitability of the Stores Channel. The above is attainable through building a meaningful partnership and committed relationship with the relevant Divisional Leadership Team (DLT) stores team.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide input into the development, measure and monitoring of sales strategies, policies and procedures and implement once agreed.
    • Measure and monitor the implementation of operating plans in line with sales strategies, policies, procedures, operating plans and budgets.
    • Ensure alignment between stores regional operations/activities and the Store Channel strategy.
    • Day to Day management, monitoring and control of the Store Channel budget, invoicing and Regional Micro Campaign budget.
    • Manage, measure and update targets.
    • Takes ownership for the end-to-end sales process in the Stores Channel.
    • Manage day-to-day relationships with our stakeholders.
    • Manage and oversee the development of sales campaigns to achieve new account growth across the Stores Channel.
    • Assist with analysing existing sales processes and operating models to identify improvement opportunities and facilitate integration with other business areas.
    • Assist with the implementation, measurement, monitoring and communication of effective rewards and recognition programmes, sales campaigns, sales workshops, site visits, and the provision of support to build a sales culture.
    • Represent the Stores Channel and give input regarding systems, processes and the operating plan during the entire Transformation program.
    • Management of staff members.

    Minimum Qualification

    • Matric
    • A Diploma in Sales / Marketing or equivalent qualification

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • 5 years relevant working experience in a sales and distribution domain
    • Management experience within a retail and/ or financial services business is essential
    • Proven track record to lead staff in a customer focused or sales channel environment
