The Job At A Glance

The Information Analyst (Data Integration) is responsible for the design; development; testing and support of the integration component of the Data Warehouse. The role encompasses translating business requirements into functional and technical requirements; development of the extract-transform-load interfaces; setup of test cases; testing and report balancing; creation of support materials; operational support; standby; bug fix; change requests (enhancements) during projects and as part of operational support; documentation and general support. The main deliverable of this role is to source; load and verify data required for the Data Warehouse to provide the reports and to facilitate correction of data inconstancies found within datasets.

What You Will Do

• Support the Portfolio Application Manager to meet team objectives
• Responsible to achieve day-to-day service operations and SLA targets
• Determine information requirements required to support the business reporting requirements received from Business Analyst and assess the impact analysis of these to provide a cost and time estimate to source and load the data for the reporting component of the Data Warehouse
• Conduct design (including functional and technical); development; testing and operational support of extract, transform, load programs for the Data Warehouse
• Maintain the software at the latest supported version including logging and resolving support calls with the vendor
• Provide after business hours support per applicable schedule
• Attend to bug fixes and change requests (enhancements) within applicable SLA and quality levels (right first time fix)
• Conduct disaster recovery tests per applicable schedule
• Manage and support key business calendar milestones (month ends, half year end, financial year end and new financial year start)
• Conduct user training; upskilling of Super Users; user support and on-boarding of new team members
• Identify out of compliance to IT strategy; policies; governance frameworks; standards - propose and execute rectification actions
• Identify and execute opportunities for continuous improvement in IT services delivery; includes identifying patterns of user behaviour that may require additional retraining and support
• Create and maintain relevant documentation such as business processes; technical designs; configuration, maintenance and support guides; test cases; user guides and training guides

Minimum Qualifications

• IT Diploma (or similar)
• Experiences required to perform in the role
• 2+ years in an Business Intelligence / Integration ETL Developer role
• In depth knowledge and experience of Informatica; BI methodologies and toolsets
• Experience in business data models, data architectures and data warehousing
