    We are currently looking to hire a Director Franchise Hotel Performance to look after our franchise hotels in Africa, this role will be based in Johannesburg, South Africa

    As a Director Franchise Hotel Performance you will consult with Owners, General Managers & Hotel Executives on improving Revenues, Brand Delivery, Guest Experience and Operational performance. Furthermore you will be the overall business partner of the franchise hotel General Manager and Owner, and act as the main contact in their relationship with IHG. You will own the business relationship, providing performance consultation, support,

    guidance and training on integrating the brand into the hotel and on maximizing revenue generation from the system. In addition, you will work with Owners and IHG’s corporate team to mitigate and resolve issues early on, as well as help to ensure payment completion of all dues and liabilities towards IHG. In addition, the role will function as the primary relationship and Franchise business partner for Growth functions. This will be aimed at assisting and working with these functions to enable the selection of quality partners, signup of brand defining hotels and increased visibility of IHG’s franchise offering and business capabilities.

    Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business or Hospitality, or similar equivalent experience; 5 years or more as a hotel General Manager / Director of Sales / or Director of Revenue; Demonstrated ability to hold Owner Relationships; In-depth knowledge of Hotel Sales, Marketing & Revenue functions, with 3 years minimum progressive work-related experience in either of these disciplines; In-depth understanding of Project Management practices & stakeholder holder consultation; Ability to be analytical and use data to inform strategy; In-depth consensus-building skills to deal effectively with different owner/stakeholder objectives balanced against IHG objectives.

    The ideal candidate should have strong communication, leadership, presentation and coaching skills; Strengths in complex problem / task identification, scoping and resolution; Influencing, negotiating and conflict resolution skills to achieve sustainable outcomes and Cultural awareness for effective multi-country communications.
