    Strategy & Operations Manager MEA

    About The Role

    • The Strategy & Operations Manager leads projects, initiatives, processes, and coordinates with other Group
    • Functions and Business Units in respect of strategic planning and strategy development, and delivers content respectively.
    • S/he takes ownership, under the direction and guidance of the Market
    • Executive MEA, of the creation, delivery and execution of relevant strategic papers and strategic options and act as challenger to papers and plans submitted by the sub-regional units within MEA.
    • Develops, maintains and tracks KPI's relevant to the MEA
    • Reinsurance business and is the direct interface with Group
    • Control functions and processes such as ORM, GIA, FRR, to ensure compliance with key controls.
    • Overviews cost and FTE plans for MEA, in close collaboration with Cost Controlling and the Strategy & Operations EMEA team ensuring smooth transition from strategic planning to financial projections, in close cooperation with Finance and sub-regional heads.
    • Supports the Market Executive MEA with planning, steering and preparing various internal committees, groups as well as key client interactions. Prepares information for challenging progress and performance of the sub-regional reinsurance business units vs. MEA strategy plans.

    About You

    • Minimum of 3-7 years in-depth experience in financial markets and re/ insurance experience, with Africa and Middle East experience preferred. -
    • University degree, preferably in Economics, Finance or Mathematics. 
    • Proven project leader with the ability to deliver output against project timelines, and to coordinate complex processes end-to-end.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, both quantitative and qualitative.
    • Solid process management capabilities and ability to think strategically.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and in an environment of change.
    • Proficiency in English is essential, other languages a plus.
